Cream of the West All Natural 100% Whole-Grain Hot Cereal Variety Pack: Roasted Wheat (24 oz); Roasted 7-Grain (18 oz); Roasted Thick Oats (18 oz) 3-Pack

I am using this product as an ingredient in my home made totally organic multigrain bread. The bread is delicious and healthy and very popular with friends The boxes are the standard small size barely a pound and maybe contain 2 to 3 cups of dry cereal. This cereal is designed to be cooked in water like oatmeal and 1/3 cup dry cereal provides one serving after cooking with water. Cost per serving is around $1.00$10 a box after shipping seems a bit high but organic ingredients cost more.In order of ingredients its is comprised of hard red spring wheat, oats, barley, rye, triticale,soft white wheat, and spelt. It may be hard to source all of these ingredients especially if you want the organic versions. If there is a way to buy in bulk let me know

This is my fifth order. An excellent, filling breakfast. Too expensive, but taste is excellent.

Much cheaper than Cream of Wheat (and I do not remember Cream of Wheat being so crazy expensive back in the day, but now it's more than a dollar a serving). However, it can be tricky to cook without lumps or without having to clean the microwave afterward. Microwaving it is a bad, messy idea and cooking it in a pot tends to give you a lot of lumps. However, this worked great: 1. Heat water in a teakettle until it boils. 2. Add Cream of the West powder to a pot. 3. Add boiling water to the pot, stirring to keep it from clumping. Add enough water to continue cooking in the pot on medium heat for 2-3 more minutes until it is done. Result: non-clumpy, tasty farina. Voila.

I like this stuff but the cost is unreasonably high per ounce. It is not available at local grocery stores so, when this is out, that's it. Good taste and texture.

I have this every morning with fruit, slivered almonds and yogurt mixed in. It's my favorite meal of the day. It's chewy and wonderful.

My son found this a couple of years ago when I was lamenting the long gone Wheat Hearts cereal that he and I liked.

Unlike supermarket Cream of Wheat, this cereal is entirely whole wheat which means you get all of the flavor and fiber. Less likely to clump than the supermarket kind, and unlike the supermarket 'instant' versions, it contains no added salt (you can add it yourself) and it doesn't have the odd flavor of instant potatoes. Still, the creaminess is still there. Great product from the state of Montana!
