I finally found the heavy duty whisk I have been looking for. It’s a great for mixing pancake batter, cream sauces, or a quick baking mix. This metal whisk is rigid which means the energy you are expending to mix your sauce is doing just that mixing.

Wow, just wow. We were so tired with those silly spring whisks that we started looking for a better kind and found this one. Like most things, we were pretty skeptical but it's Amazon and knew we could return if chep. Let me tell you, this thing is very sturdy and so easy to mix heavier things with like corn meal. Highly recommend 👌

I had three whisks break on me when making caramel, the latest one, quite spectacularly, with two of the wires popping out while I was stirring molten caramel, spritzing said molten caramel all over my hands, which was *the* impetus for my search for a real heavy duty whisk. My search came up with this one and I ordered it right away (although admittedly, after my above-referenced really bad experience, I was quite a bit sceptical and thought to myself, "well, let's see how 'heavy duty' it really is"). When I opened the package, I actually exclaimed "WOW!". This one is really a heavy duty whisk. No, you probably don't want it to whip egg whites or cream, but it is absolutely perfect for stirring heavy things like caramel. I would give it 10 stars if I could (and the price is unbeatable, too). Simply perfect for the job.

6" from end of hook to end of handle where whisk wires start. Wire is 1/16" in diameter. Purchased for making brownies at home, it will be fine for that thickness of batter without concern of bending the whiskwires. A good purchase.
