This type of thermometer is very popular because its easy and accurate to use. The Amber & Red colour change depending on the Temperature makes it clear when the temperature's outside the normal range. Very speedy result as well. Battery door wasn't easy to open till you used a "pull forward" action on the door, the etched lines indicated this.

Totally rubbish. Won’t take reading and keeps coming up Err Don’t bother buying. Choose something from the pharmacy instead- one that goes in the mouth because these are crap!!!

Pros: Very easy to use. Nice display. This company makes the same thermometer for other brands, and this is less expensive. And you don't need disposable pieces to use it with different people (e.g., a throw-away barrier like on one you put in the mouth or in the ear). Cons: The only reason we are returning it is we took temperatures multiple times with two people with this device, an in-the-mouth thermometer, and an ear thermometer. All recorded different temperatures. All are more for trend than to give an precise measurement. Of the three, we felt the forehead was the least beneficial, despite that it did not need disposable protection that costs money over time.

We use it for our toddlers, after they’ve gotten too old for the rectal thermometer. Works great to check at night without waking them up!
