better than alternatives but not great.
Good and adjustable. The one thing I don't like is that the forearm metal brace is not flexible in width and a pain ita if you have a coat on. The fact that it is hinged and flips back and forth while in principle a good idea is bad. If you lean the crutch anywhere it moves and slips, if you want to use it, it also keeps moving and it is more a problem than a solution. I would prefer the old fashioned hard plastic and wider fixed forearm rest. When walking, the brace tends to catch your jacket pocket, which may lead to ... a fall! A great way to prolong the use of the crutches!

... years (lighter gauge cuffs) the grips are still the best on your wrists
Although cheapened up over the years (lighter gauge cuffs) the grips are still the best on your wrists.

Wanted a better pair of crutches than the traditional under arm type as a long term back-up and limited use spare for a person with a prosthetic leg. Selected this style/model because if perceived durability, quality and cost. Would have gone more expensive if it was to be used full-time. Also would have gone for model with hand padding. But as a back-up device, will make my own padding for the hard plastic grips. Crutches feel solid and are adjustable for flexible usage.
