Nice quality and fit

Husbands work truck was rusting out. The bottom straps were barely holding on. This skid plate didn’t fit exactly but he was able to retro fit it on his tank.

It seems like it's well constructed. Used on 78 CJ5 to replace rotted out original. Bolt holes are a bit off so it's taken some work to get it mounted.

Fit and worked as described.

Came painted black. I undercoated it. Bolt holes may need to be filed out a little, but seems like good quality for the price, a lot better than the rusted out one on it. Seems sturdy. Does not come with the plastic tank isolators, I reused the old ones.. I ordered a new 3 piece strap kit as well as a new tank. I had to reinforce the rusted rear cross member with angle iron and will eventually replace the cross member when I do a frame off resto.

This is one of very few reviews I have ever written and it more addresses the seller. I have a 1987 Jeep YJ with a 15 Gallon Tank. Guess what? THIS SKID PLATE DOES NOT FIT. What I have determined is that my year of Jeep does have a 15 gallon tank, however it is a plastic tank and it requires 2 straps. This tank only has a place for one strap. In the questions answered by the seller it states that it will fit my make and model but never mention a difference in gas tank material. The seller basically refused to cover return shipping even though there lack of description led to this issue. Thankfully Amazon stepping in and took care of me. Now the item itself, it seems well made and would have bolted right up on my YJ, just find another seller.

It fits, but the center bolt hole is offset. I had to drill it out to get it to work.
