Q: what are the ingrediants?

Lactose, cellulose, glycol, 160 mg. ferroud fumarate which delivers 50 mg. of elemental iron. My husband is on his second box and it is keeping his iron level at normal without causing diareahea. Good product.

Q: How effective are these in raising iron levels? Whenever compared to noncoated?

A study was done on time-release iron (Slow-Fe brand) vs regular iron (ferrous sulphate) tablets. There was no statistically significant difference in the absorption. Q: Is this a bottle of capsules? I cannot open blister packs!

The last time I ordered on Oct. 2, 2017 I was sent bottles which I much prefer to blister packs. Unfortunately it’s not always possible to tell which you’ll get since they come in identical boxes. It’s aggravating to be left dealing with difficult blister packs when you expected an easy to open bottle. It’s too bad they don’t specify which one you’re ordering so one can choose what works best for them.
