Mammon

I love this show. It has the same combination of murder and the media that a lot of these have, but it plays much grittier and feels truer than most.

Nordic Noir genre is alive and kicking as Norwegians prove with this excellent addition to a whole bunch of quality entertainment based on Scandinavian crime fiction. I enjoyed season 1 of ''Mammon'' but I thought that it was a rather poor production, kind of a tv series''b-movie''. Nevertheless it managed to keep the viewer glued to his seat due to its intricate plot and notable actor performances, mainly by Jon Øigarden and Nils Ole Oftebro as two journalists of VG newspaper, one of the most popular ones in Norway. Season 2 though was close to perfection. Great actors joined the cast like Trond Espen Seim, Ingar Helge Gimle, Anders Danielsen Lie and others, with the first two being marvelous in their roles as frenemies in the country's governing party, often adding a comic touch to the tightly-woven, elaborate plot. The story begins with the murder of one of VG's prime journalists and unfolds in a nice, steady pace, leaving no questions unanswered in the end. The plot consists of shady politicians, corrupt lawyers, femme fatales and has every ingredient of a superb television production. Nordic Noir fans are bound to love ''Mammon'' and the finale will leave them begging for more.

Got hook d right away. Lots of suspense and plenty of plot twists. Highly recommend.

I'm a big fan of Scandinavian Noir but I thought this series contained the most convoluted screenplay that I have ever seen. It was almost impossible to keep track of the innumerable characters and their affiliations not to mention the sketchy information about the secret society underlying the story. Can't understand how it got such good reviews. Compared to Borgen, The Bridge, and The Legacy, I really thought it was a loser. Sorry I wasted my time and money.

Ich fand das Ende nicht verwirrend - es war etwas komplex und liess ein bis zwei Fragen offen (fuer moegliche Fortsetzungen?), aber an sich stimmig und sehr spannend.Aber die fehlenden deutschen Untertiteln zum Originalton finde ich schon sehr schade und stoerend. Synchronisation ist halt immer ein bisschen wie mit einer 3-D-Kinobrille ins Kunstmuseum gehen - man sieht das Werk zwar noch, aber nicht so, wie es eigentlich angedacht und gemacht wurde. Und mein Norwegisch ist nicht so gut, dass es ohne Untertitel ginge.Das sollte Standard werden, wie anderswo auch. Ist auch einer der Gruende, warum ich kein TV schaue. Originalton bitte, entspricht auch mehr dem (gebuehrenfinanzierten) Bildungsauftrag.

Ein spannende Serie aus Skandinavien, mit vielen zahlreichen Wendungen. Die dargestellten Bilder sind düster und bilden dadurch eine durchgehende, zerstörende Atmosphäre. Mammon ist ein Wirtschaftsthriller, gleichzeitig aber auch ein Familiendrama. Durch die vier Folgen hinweg wird immer an Spannungskurve gedreht, bis zum unvermeidlichen Showdown. Und da komme ich zu meinem einzigen Kritikpunkt: Die Auflösung am Ende wirkte doch sehr konstruiert und nicht zwingend nachvollziehbar. Aber alles in allem gesehen ein gut gemachter Vierteiler.

Wer auf skandinavische Krimis/Thriller steht ist hier genau richtig.Top Miniserie mit spannenden Wendungen, macht bis zum Schluss Spaß.Davon sollte es eigentlich eine Fortsetzung geben.Für Fans von #Die Brücke

Lohnt sich für verregnete Feiertage. Wir haben es an Weihnachten gesehen und konnten kaum aufhören. Die Investition hat sich sehr gelohnt.
