Working great so far
This item was Re-manufactured, it came in well pack box no way to get damage. They used extra water proof glue around the base of the electrical board. Placed this in a 2005 Ford Freestyle. Working great so far....

Worked Like New
Replaced the wiper motor in my 2004 Lincoln Town Car with this motor and it worked like a charm. Have not used it much because we have not gotten any rain yet since I installed it. It came with an instruction sheet that I did not need but it was nice to see one included. The order or the box contents did not say anything about the core being sent back--maybe I'll tear it apart.

REMAN? More Like Junkyard Part.
Like many people are wont to do, I decided to buy a less expensive wiper motor as opposed to paying $150+ at an auto parts store. I saw CARDONE had re-manufactured motors for less than half the cost of new, and thought, "Why not?" Now to say something has been re-manufactured implies a certain level of work and inspection has been performed. From the moment I removed this part from the CARDONE box, I knew little to nothing, beyond slapping a QC sticker on the motor, had been done with this.First off, the aluminum case was covered in corrosion. Okay, that is cosmetic and I can overlook that. The seam where the actual motor case joins up to the aluminum housing was weeping rust all the way around. Again, chalk it up to dissimilar metals and cosmetic damage. Next was the plastic cover housing the electronics module. A section of the plastic was melted, a locking tab was missing, the keys and tabs for the connector were destroyed or removed by what seemed to be falling damage, and the entire cap was rattling loosely. With all the free movement in the plastic module, it was quite obvious that the silicone seal was shot. Popped off the plastic cover/electronics module (with almost no effort due to the condition) and what do you know? The seal inside is dried up and had been separated for what appeared to be years. The first time a slightest amount of water hit this, it would be completely burned up - assuming it actually worked! With the damage to the diodes and solder points on the circuit board, that was becoming very questionable at best. Water had already been inside of this thing and damaged it. Now it was a gamble to see what (not if) was going to be completely inoperable on this thing.Just like what CARDONE SHOULD have done to begin with, I carefully cleaned up the corrosion on the board and components. The conformal coating was completely gone, unfortunately. I removed the rust and corrosion from the pins. I checked the state of the old grease on the worm gear to make sure it was still usable. After everything looked somewhat okay, which was a far cry from the state it had been in, I cleaned out the old RTV sealant and resealed the plastic cover before adhering to the aluminum case. I verified the states of all the pins to ensure nothing was shorted that should not be and then installed it in the car.I know what you are thinking. For the love of all that is holy, you long-winded rogue, why?A good question, considering it looked worse than the original 2006 motor I removed that had literally caught itself on fire. But - the mountain had already been scaled and I had to see the other side. So, I started up the car for good measure and ran the wiper motor through all of the settings. High setting and all of the intermittent speeds worked, and the wiper arms parked automatically like they should. Better than I had hoped! This is the only reason it got 2 stars. Then I tried the windshield washer. Nothing. Checked the washer fluid level; full. Still nothing. Not even trying. Guess where the relay for the windshield washer pump is. That is correct! It is inside the wiper motor electronics module! Guess what is not engaging the relay and outputting 12 volts to the washer pump motor. Right again! The wiper motor! So, now I can wipe away the rain but I can't spray the windshield to clean it and re-Rain-X it (which if you do not do in Florida, you are insane and/or from up North someplace).Okay, so in order for this to actually be a RE-MANUFACTURED part, CARDONE had to do the very basic few things, at the very least:1. Inspect for damage and corrosion2. Clean corrosion3. Repair and/or replace unusable parts4. Verify the operation of ALL functions5. Seal the housingOut of all five very basic items, zero of them had been performed. The part seems to have been pulled from an old vehicle, possibly (and I am stretching it here) tested to see if it turned on with no load, then had a QC sticker slapped on it before throwing it into a CARDONE box. If this is what CARDONE considers a re-manufactured part, I cannot recommend anyone else waste their money or time gambling on their disappointing lack of effort or workmanship (of which neither seems to be present).

Received super fast
Received it almost the next day! Direct fit, probably 20 minutes to install complete. Works perfect, of course NOW I'm still waiting for it to rain! LOL!

The 3 mounting holes in the cast cover arrived untapped.
Motor is a perfect fit, and works like a top. This unit had a new cast aluminum cover that did not have the 3 mounting holes tapped. Easy fix, but not everyone has a dye/tap set.Slightly disappointed in Cardone, but I'll be back for more Cardone parts in the future.

It's wrong
This motor does NOT fit a ford edge.NOT EVEN CLOSE.Mounting is wrong. Electrical plug is wrong. The motor in general is too big to fit in the space where it needs to go.Do not buy this for a ford edge.
