Yum, healthy post-workout fuel
These are yum! Better than I expected tbh. They taste kinda like raw cookie dough. The nutritional content is good too. I'm excited to have found good vegan post workout snacks!

taste like chocolate chip cookie dough!
I like any of the Orgain protein bars of this style. Has a good texture, and is not too sweet. This one definitely reminds me of cookie dough, so they did a good job with it. The initial bite has that protein taste though. Seems to simmer down with more bites. Something unique about these bars that I like. Mixed reviews, but I decided to give them a try anyway because I like Orgain products, AND it was on sale, bringing it closer to $1 per bar. I bought the S'mores, and I find them incredible. Then I bought this Chocolate Chip Cookie dough, and it tastes like cookie dough, and the texture too. Like the cookie dough you can get in rolls in the refridgerated sections. But slightly more firm for handling. Very interesting. As with the Smores option, here too I expected a strong protein taste, and at first I did taste a little of that. But I think the initial opening of the packet released some off gassing, and so my first bite seemed to taste protein-y. However, the rest of it was divine. I didnt gobble it all down at once. Remainder of my review is the same as my review for the smores option, so I will just copy it over here. I tend to chomp on these through my work day, so I take a bite then set aside for awhile, then return to it as needed. I work a physical job and so it isn't easy to just eat a meal. I also need something that can stick to my ribs. I was really pleasantly surprised that I could eat just this and get through my day. I think I had an apple (cut up for same ease of munching) along side it. It wasn't a fluke, because i did it again the next work day, and had same results. So the protein used is a long burner. Coffee, orgain bar, sliced up apple. All good. All day. Taste? good. Not too sweet Texture? awesome. Has a good chew. If warm (like sitting in car) it gets a little goey, but it stays solid- no mess. I like the bits of chocolate. Adds good mouth feel. I'm a big fan of loading up my purse with snack bars-- again, I work a physical job with no real breaks. I like knowing I have something to nibble on as need be. I would also grab for this when I want something candy bar like, and not worry about taking the sugar hit. I just find it all around pleasant, and will likely buy it again (though preferably on sale), and likely try other flavors.

Great taste.
These are amazing, taste great, and no soy products. Even my kids eat them.

No icky sugar substitutes, yet low cal and affordable
It’s actually a very good tasting protein bar imo. Especially in comparison to other bars out there. The texture and taste are good. While not loaded with calories they use real ingredients, no sugar substitute which is a plus in my book. Too many protein bars opt for sugar substitute which leaves a gross aftertaste. The price is also affordable in comparison to other protein bars. I do wish they had a non chocolate option for variety. But no gross fruity stuff. Actually, snickerdoodle would be great with this texture!

Bars are okay - very soft/chewy and sugars are a little high
I am a big fan of the Orgain Collagen products; have been purchasing for over 4 years now and decided to give Orgain's protein bars a try. Overall, the bars are okay. Flavor is good but they are a soft/chewy type of bar - pasty would be a way to describe them. Was like eating cookie dough which may appeal to some but we prefer a more harder/sturdier bar. Nutrition content is good but a little high on sugar than some other bars. We'll likely not get these bars again.

Eat these daily - hold me over for hours
I love the cookie dough flavor! Some reviewers mention the texture is a bit like playdough, and while I can see that, it doesn’t bother me. To me, it feels like eating a soft bar of cookie dough, without any protein powder residue or aftertaste. There’s a slight essence of protein powder on the first bite, but it disappears quickly. The bar is a decent size (if you know, you know—the protein bar sizing struggle) and doesn’t upset my stomach. I also find these keep me satisfied for a few hours, making them perfect between meals. I just ordered the brownie flavor - will report back. Update: The chocolate brownie reminded me of the lil Debbie cosmic brownies minus the candy topping with a hint of protein flavor. They are a dense with a smooth chocolate frosting on top and little crunchies throughout for texture. I definitely prefer the chocolate chip to the brownie - the brownie was too rich for me to eat the whole thing but I’m a vanilla over chocolate person for reference.

Okayish
Not bad for a plant based protein bar. It’s a little bit grainy and the flavor isn’t excellent. But they’re good enough when you need a quick snack.
