Amazing TV Brand
It's an amazing TV, I used it since more than 11 years. But lately I ordered for AU8000 and I received AU8100. I don't know why!

TV arrived defective
There’s a shed of white light in the bottom right corner that is really disturbing when the screen is black

I don't recommend the seller
Power plug is from europe, the installation steps were in arabic, I only had chance to change the language after the first configuration. The seller sold me AU7000 model instead of AU8000 as per was described. As overall the TV is working as expected.

Cheap quality screen
We purchased this TV one and a half years ago and just recently it got a horizontal line on the screen. The repair costs the same as a new TV. Being out of warranty for 6 months, Samsung won’t do anything. We stopped trusting Samsung after knowing that they outsource cheap screen and still charge you as a legit one.

The good: Slim, lightweight, Brilliant OS, One intuitive remote, great color, stunning picture in quality 4k The not-so-good: Black not as deep as possible, lack of true quality 4k content Samsung makes a really great product with this TV. It’s very slim and lightweight – I hung our 55” without any help from anyone, if that gives you an idea. The OS and interface are great – you can get anywhere you want to go in a few clicks. As a matter of fact, the OS and apps are so good that we have stopped using our Fire TV stick (we own 4 – now only 3 are in use) because we found it more convenient than switching back and forth between inputs and using two remotes. This is saying something, because we’ve been Fire TV fans from day 1 and own a stick for every TV in the house. The remote itself is just as brilliant as the OS and is also a match for the FireTV remote – we use the Samsung as our sole remote now. Despite the low price, this thing has incredible color and picture quality. You’d expect that for an affordable TV you would get a noticably lower quality picture, but you just don’t. With quality 4k content (for example, Sir David Attenborough’s Netflix content), you can tell the difference 4k makes without having something to compare it to. Only a couple of complaints here. The blacks on this TV aren’t as deep as the more expensive sets out there. However, we weren’t interested in paying 5 times as much for an OLED just for deeper blacks. There is also a distinct lack of content out there that’s true 4k with the brilliant picture quality and insane color like you’ve been conditioned to expect. Plenty of content is technically 4k nowadays, and quality is decent, but the picture quality simply doesn’t pop like you’d think it should. Neither of these two complaints are the fault of Samsung’s product here – just facts of life to be aware of while shopping. Bottom line, we will go for a Samsung TV next time we need one, no question. Samsung does make a great product, and this is a prime example of that fact.

First off, you can connect the remote to the cable system. But you gonna need to keep the cable remote handy as that's the only way to change the volume. Spent hours on this. Maybe calling them and getting transferred to half a dozen people might get it done. but I haven't had the patience to start that. 2ndly if you lose that flimsy remote(very small/thin and black) than you are SOL, Cause the buttons on the TV, makes playing a Russian Chess Master seem like a piece of Cake. It makes absolutely no sense what so ever. And like the remote, it feels flimsy with some type of guard(Maybe to let people pull that piece of added plastic out of the tv instead of their hair), so if you keep jacking with it(and you have no other way to do it beside blindly fumbling, because it's in a position under the tv where you can't see the strangest button configuration in History (which I did as I had too look it up on the Net and all that info lets you know is to basically not to mess with it, Cause you don't want to go there. Trust Me!!! Ive never said anything more honest. So yeah that's where I'm at now. Looking for a horrible little remote and not even attempting to try and use the button matrix on the tv. It feels like a sadist is doing a experiment on humans just to get a kick out of it and I signed up for the course. Again, The Button configuration makes no sense and I'd rather try to solve the Hellraiser Box than try and fool with it. I'm telling you to go look it up just too be in Awe of such a thing.

Smart features would only work if they were completely compatible. I have 3 tablets and other laptops that are on Android this is on it's own Tizen platforms. Now I know people are going to say just use the Google apps not all those apps will work with every Android. If you have older laptops, tablets, smart devices around the house you will have trouble with the remote pairing. The remote control is a waste Soo small, but the big headache is the TV and remote and how they "don't" work together , if you are in one setting and want to just go home, guess what it's not allowed you have to back out of each setting by using the back button you can't just hit home. This is the new Tizen system, go with the Android it's used a heck of a lot more pairs easily with your electronics. In a last try to get this unit to operate with my other equipment a call was made to Samsung, they were completely understanding and we tried together to find different apps on Google that allows my other equipment to pair for 75 minutes it was a no hitter. The end result update or buy new electronics that have the correct versions. Also look at the apps on Google play for the Samsung TV, you think you have the right one you won't, not even Samsung could without switching me to different departments twice. In all fairness the picture quality is awesome, But I will Not accept all the other things I have mentioned here. This will be returned I will only buy a Android system. I didn't take all this time to bash Samsung this my experience with the Tizen os , the factory can't help me, it is what it is. You have been warned.
