Hated the fact that I am restoring a 1984 trx200. Has a Clarke plastic tank. So I bought matching Clarke cap. To my surprise it stopped working all the sudden. Like it had run out of gas, keep in mind this is first tank since restoration. Took cap off to refill, tank was full of a black color liquid. Upon further inspection picture shows the condition of the rubber gasket that seals cover to tank. It dissolved in just a few days. Not only do I need a gasket, gasket material plugged screen in bottom of tank. Plugged fuel lines and plugged the carburetor!! Great job. This is one of those situations were even if company gives you money back you still loose. I will have more money and labor involved just in replacing the parts this gasket ruined.Long story short. If your in the business of building gas tanks and parts that come in contact with gas. You would think you would know you just cant use any ole cheap rubber material!!!!Hope this saves the next customer some activation!

This is my third cap for the Clarke tank on my TW200 including the Clarke vent less cap. All have leaked when the tank is fairly full and you smell like gas the rest of the day. This one is not as pretty but does its job and does not leak. Very pleased.

Unexpected discovery to find this cap here. Advertised as “ATV” gas cap yet fits my KTM 450 EXC aftermarket large Clarke tank. Thanks, Amazon.
