Thoughtful, actionable, research-based ways to increase well-being beyond the individual
Most well-being literature is for individual self-help. This book is different. Written by several experts who are academics, researchers and, importantly, practitioners in psychology, it inverts the usual question, "How can you make your life better?" and instead asks, "How do we make the world better for all of us?" This is a big question that this relatively small book answers by exploring where things are already working, from schools, to health clinics, to work environments, to governments, to society at large. "Creating the World We Want to Live In" is full of proof that people are doing this. Recommended especially for school and community leaders, public policy activists, and government officials.

A collection of many well known facts
With a pricey tag for a paperback I was anticipating engaging reading. But the book turned to be very disappointing. One can read through this book in one day, diagonally. To me, the book reappeared a lot of known facts, with little practical advice how to implement recommendations. Also, it is richly spiced with leftist view and references. The verdict - pass and save your money.
