This really could've been 5 stars
I like the quality of the fabric, I like the sun pass through, I like everything but the seam at the top. The cross stitching pattern falls apart here. So where the meets it folds over and is glued? I guess. There is a seam about 1" where the material bonds. Right where it stops bonding the stitch that runs parallel to the seam starts to fall apart, leaving a gap big enough to stick a pencil through. I bought this for bugs so a hole that size is a concern. A little better seam that kept the fabric integrity better would go a long ways. I'm going to hot glue or double sided tape it.

Squirrels will get in easily..
Things were going well with these until the end of the season and squirrels chewed right through the fabric and ate all the peaches and apples. They also figured out how to pull the slippery ribbons which tie the bottoms closed. These worked fine to stop birds, but the squirrels made short work of these nets and destroyed my whole crop.

I live in an area where there is significant commercial ...
I live in an area where there is significant commercial fruit production. As a result, I face a considerable variety of mammals, insects, and fungal diseases intent upon reducing fruit yields. I had hoped that Agfabric's bags would be a panacea for the assaults by deer, raccoons, ground hogs, Japanese beetles, stink bugs, European wasps, and various fungal diseases. While they do eliminate damage caused by the various mammals, there are two important shortcomings: 1. where I live, they block enough sunlight to impact tree growth and fruit ripening and 2. they reduce circulation beneath the canopy, which facilitates fungal growth in our humid conditions. Furthermore, the tight mesh precludes treatment with fungicides, so the bags have to be removed for this. Recently I began using another product called Big Bug Netting, which I think may resolve the shortcomings of the Agfabric's bags. The mesh leaves a 1/6 inch gap between strands, which will prevent all mammals and large insect insults yet allow fungicide treatment without removal.

Worked perfectly for our fig tree!
This worked perfectly for our fig tree this summer. It saved all our figs from the squirrels this year. If they made bigger bags, I would have wrapped all our fruit trees in the garden. The one downside is that the bag was not big enough to close the hole at the bottom completely, so there was a possibility of squirrels and other creatures entering the bag. I wrapped the trunk and lower branches with foil to deter squirrels. Seems to have worked! A couple of downsides were that it looked like the bag may have been pressing down on some branches with figs, and we had to remove this once to pick the fruits. Otherwise, you could pinch/pick fruits with the bag on still and let it roll down the bag (for a soft landing). We will definitely reuse this again next year!

It did the job, but.....
It did the job of keeping the Japanese bugs off my Japanese maple tree BUT for some reason, my tree's leaves were all dried up and didn't flourish like I thought it would. The picture here is misleading. Maybe the net was not supposed to touch the tree, and I can see it working better then. Next year I plan to put some poles around the tree then cover it with the net so the net will not be in contact with the tree itself. And no, the net does not hold up for itself like this picture is implying. The net bogged the tree down. Like I said, it did the work, but.... I will be better prepared next year.

Keeps the birds and bugs out of my fruit!
It’s not featherweight, so it will weigh down or break small branches if not carefully placed. However, the weight is what makes it durable. Will definitely last at least a couple seasons if not more.Relatively easy to install (it’s like throwing a big pillowcase over your tree, so depending on how tall and wide your tree is, it can require a couple people) and so easy to cinch up the bottom. You do end up with a long ribbon but I just tied it to the tree trunk to keep it from dangling.Keeps the birds and squirrels and bugs out of my fruit, although if you have very determined squirrels they might be able to chew through.

Easy to use
This bag arrived just as described and was easy to install. It was slighlty smaller than I needed so I could not seal the bottom around the trunk of my new dogwood to protect against cicadas but it will at least keep them from landing on it and laying eggs. The bag is lightweight and provides air flow as well as light for the tree to survive. Hopefully winds from a storm do not rip it off the tree and damage the tree.

Poor construction
The materials appear to be of pretty good quality but the construction is subpar. I ordered seven of these bags for my fruit trees and four of the seven had some seams that were not caught well and the grosgrain ribbon drawstring was sewn into the casing so you could not pull the ribbon to make it tight around the tree trunk.
