Great leg gaurds!
Sturdy and well built. Layered polypro sheets are flexible but puncture resistant. Comfortable to wear and confidence inspiring.

Good shin protection, not sure about snake bites thou.
Bought these more for shin protection when weed whacking thick brush on my property. Once adjusted to my lower leg dimensions they stay in place over my boots. Thick plastic feeling inserts under canvas/cordura type material, but they're not heavy and I forget they're on when I'm working. I think they'd fend off potential snake bite as well if so needed when turkey hunting.

Think Outside The Box
I don't go into the woods very often. I live in an urban area. But, I do groom my yard with a weed eater on a regular basis. These work great to protect my ankles while I use my weed eater. So, I hate to disappoint the folks who hunt in areas where snakes are prevalent, but if you just want to protect your ankles from flying debris, these work great while you are using a weed eater.

These are well made and fit well. The only thing I do not like is the little Velcro adjustment slider on the straps. This is cheesing out. They should replace it even if it costs a couple bucks more. Still giving 5 stars!

Probably protects you but they don't stay on
The straps on these don't stay tight and they don't get tight enough for women. All day long they just spin, leaving the front of your shoe unprotected and, ultimately, get in the way. Overall they protect your calves and if you had bigger calves they might stay put better but the straps are hard to use and don't stay secure. Disappointed.
