Excellent product for homemade waffles
Griddler was already a great product for making grilled cheese sandwiches, burgers, and even steak. These plates are easy to install and remove just like the original plates. I followed the instructions and made great buttermilk waffles in 3 to 5 minutes. I used to have a separate waffle maker which wore out and I’m glad I replaced it with these plates, now I don’t have to store another kitchen appliance. It actually made better waffles than my old waffle maker. I included an image of the Griddler model information that it fit perfectly.

Worked really well for me, despite being hesitant from the negative reviews.
If you already have a Griddler, then this is a great space saving addition. I read the other reviews, and was somewhat reluctant about how it might perform. I did not have any of the problems the negative reviews posted.FIT: My plates fit just fine, and aren't loose or falling off. I have the old original Griddler GR-4. There are two different slot configurations where you can install them (for the different Griddler models), and maybe some people are not sliding the clips into the right slots. Also one reviewer mentioned that you could possibly adjust the screws on the clips, on the plates and on the Griddler base. I did not have to do this, but sounds like a good idea if this is an issue.EVEN BROWNING: I made the two basic waffle recipes from the recipe book included with the plates, and also my own recipes. All worked well. I did a couple things differently though than what the Griddler recipes suggested. #1 - I set my Griddler to 375 degrees (instead of 400). #2 - I let my Griddler continue to preheat an additional 10 minutes AFTER the light indicates that it is preheated. This will ensure that both the bottom plate and top plate are thoroughly, and evenly heated.STICKING: I sprayed the Griddler plates with non-stick spray prior to installing them. I did not have the problem with waffles sticking, or waffles separating when opening the Griddler. I let the waffles cook about 2-3 minutes undisturbed until I checked them. Like with any waffle iron - NO PEEKING. I continued to cook up to 5 batches of waffles, and no need to re-spray. The plates were easy to clean, but you do not want to use metal utensils, or harsh scrubbies to clean. If you scrub and scratch any non-stick coating, it is going to stick eventually.OTHER TIPS: Your batter can be slightly on the thick side, plop it in the middle of the plate, then spread it with a spatula as the recipe book instructs and MEASURE if you want your waffles to look nice. 1-1/4 cup seems to work well. If you don't measure, then don't expect the waffles to be perfect. They will not fill the mold, or batter will squeeze out the side, as one reviewer said. How much batter would you have to put in there squeeze out the side? There is a huge border around the waffle part for overflow! Their batter was probably too thin.It is possible that Cuisinart has changed the design of these plates since some of the negative reviews, but as of the date of my purchase, they worked really well for me. If all you want is a waffle iron, then by all means, you can buy a nice waffle iron that flips for the price of these plates. But if you have other uses for the Griddler, or already have one, this is a nice addition.

Three important tips to prevent the need for replacements
These plates are perfect for our Griddler. Easy to install, easy to clean (we really love the OXO Good Grips Electric Grill and Panini Press Brush, works really well on the Griddler plates) This is my second set of Griddler Waffle Plates - I love them so much that they were worth buying again but here are three things I learned that may prevent you from buying a second set in the future:1. The instructions state to spray the plates with non-stick spray prior to use. Do not do this. The plates are already made from high-quality non-stick material and this step is not necessary - in fact it will make the plates eventually an unusable sticky mess. In my experience, using non-stick spray ruins these plates because eventually they will not work properly and you will have to scrape to remove the waffles which by then are a giant pile of cooked batter mess.2. Do not run through the dishwasher. Again, the instructions state that these are dishwasher safe, but save your bucks and handwash these plates! I'm not sure which of these two ultimately lead to the demise of my first set, but I can't think that a high-heat wash setting in the dishwasher did much to help either. Carefully hand wash (again we use the OXO Good Grips Electric Grill and Panini Press Brush and/or a Norwex cloth with great results)3. So obvious, but DO NOT use anything but the rubber spatula that came with your Griddler to remove waffles. Period. If you scratch the surface, start saving for another set! Speaking from experience, without thinking I removed waffles with a fork here and there - knicking the surface a few times and it became a big deal when the surface began to rust and peel after washing. Something about serving food cooked on peeling & rusting surfaces isn't really appealing to me :)Although it may be a little time-consuming, it is worth it every time to preserve these quality plates! I can see them lasting many years when properly cared for.

Waffle Plates set of 2 is a top-notch product that delivers excellent performance.
These waffle plates are specifically designed to fit the Cuisinart Griddler series perfectly. They are made of durable non-stick material, ensuring easy release and hassle-free cleaning. The design allows for even distribution of heat, resulting in perfectly cooked waffles every time. While they are primarily designed for making delicious waffles, they can also be used for other purposes, such as making grilled sandwiches.Using these waffle plates is incredibly simple. Just snap them into place on your Cuisinart Griddler, preheat, pour in your batter, and let the plates do the rest. The indicator lights on the Griddler make it easy to know when the plates are ready to cook and when your waffles are done.Overall, the Cuisinart GR-WAFP Electric Griddler Waffle Plates set of 2 is a top-notch product that delivers excellent performance, versatility, and ease of use. Whether you're a waffle enthusiast or just looking to expand your culinary horizons, these plates are sure to impress. Highly recommended!

It's ok. Nothing special.
The plates work, but I think the device is not ideal for waffles. They don't come out crispy and don't cook evenly. I am fairly sure that it's not specifically the plates that cause this, but they accentuate the shortcomings.
