I am a handicapped weekend woodworker so clamps are very importnt to me. This one is fantastic. it keeps t peices tightly joined and straight, and its easy to open and close. I highly recomend

i don't generally write reviews but in this case the technical service response was so quick and the solution so easy and well articulated that i could not resist. though i have not used the tool in a project yet, I bought this clamp in anticipation of using it with KREG's pocket drilling system. it seemed like an essential and unique tool to round out the basic pocket drilling strategy. when it was delivered I tried it and could not get it to clamp any piece other one thickness, aka, it was not adjustable AT ALL! it specifically did not do what it was advertised to do. i read some reviews and found others had the same problem. i contacted KREG Technical Services by email (you can find the address on their website). the next morning a very helpful response came back describing how to "reset" the tool. that fixed the problem instantly. i think this description should be included in the basic user manual! but since it does not i will copy it here for anyone interested in buying this tool. i now think it is a brilliant innovation for vise grip type tools and i will likely buy more of them (because, of course, "you can never have too many clamps"). here is the complete response from KREG describing the reset procedure. "Thank you for contacting Kreg Tool. I am sorry to hear you have experienced a problem with your Clamp. We will have you do a reset to see if we can get it to work. So you will open the jaws and back out that adjustment screw to the point where it is really loose but not falling out. You should see around 3/8" of threads between the bottom of the head of the screw to where it screws into the mechanism. Then you will close the jaws then open them back up. After that, you can bring that adjustment screw back to the positive around halfway down and try to clamp it down. That adjustment is not an exact adjustment, you may have to tighten it more or loosen it more to get the correct pressure you want to apply. Please let me know what that does. I look forward to your response!" Needless to say, i did let them know that it worked and thanked them.

Finally a solution to keeping cabinet frame sides lined up while putting in pocket screws. I just wish it wasn't so expensive. I'm retired on a budget and this is pretty pricey for what it really is. If I could weld, I'd just make one out of an old Vise Grip. Well, the self-adjusting feature is cool, though, so I guess Kreg deserves to be compensated for the design work.

Per quello che costa sinceramente mi aspettavo di meglio! Chiaramente se usi il sistema pocket-hole questo tipo di morsetto è molto comodo, ma mi aspettavo molto meglio dalla sua realizzazione. Specialmente perchè è quello originale Kreg e costa molto! Il sistema per aumentare la forza di chiusura non è facilmente regolabile e per aprire la presa invece è sempre necessario usare due mani. L'ho comprato e l'ho usato, ma non lo ricomprerei con il senno di poi...

I purchased two of these to help when assembling pocket holes. They are very effective and I find them easier to use than traditional clamps when inserting a pocket hole screw

This is a really well made product that enables speedy use of pocket hole systems. Other clamps can work but this one is specifically designed to work with the pocket hole system and it performs very well. Easy to adjust to different wood thicknesses and power of clamping is very strong providing confidence that you will get an accurate finish.

This is a great addition to your clamp arsenal if you plan to use pocket holes in your joinery. The auto lock feature works well (it may need slight adjustment with the little black screw) giving you the ability to clamping the joint with one hand quick and easy. I haven’t been disappointed by any Kreg tools and this clamp is no exception. One thing worth noting is that it only fits the standard 3/8” pocket holes and not the 1/4” micro jig holes.
