This may be our 4th one. They are durable and washable, not too hot to wear. The last one took beating when we tried drying it on top of the wood stove. But it still washed okay! We were just ready to start with a new one with spring/summer on the way.

The hat is sized right for me, it’s cool cotton and easy to keep its shape. Button side flaps if used, and draw string.

This is a nice hat. It fits well and the color (khaki) is just as in the photo. I would say the the material is a little floppier than I was expecting. So the brim flops around more than expected. However if you snap up both sides you get a little more rigidity in the front part of the brim. I may try to ad some staves into the brim to make it a little more rigid. It's still a good value based on sizing, color, and price.

I really like the hat but it has one flaw and that is the stitching around the side snaps. I’ve seen another review about this so it’s apparently an ongoing issue with these. I’ve worn the hat about four times since purchase. Mostly weekend hikes but just recently a week long trip, which is where I notice this snap issue happening. It’s definitely a matter of time before the snap rips out and the hat will not function properly.I wanted to reach out to the supplier to discuss this but I’m not finding an email for them, only an address. For the money I would not recommend this item as I’ve only put this hat through light use and it’s obviously not meant to snap and un-snap regularly so keep this in mind if ordering. Other than the snap issue I love the hat.

Make sure you measure the size so you get the right fit. I ordered one a little bit larger because I can't stand tight fitting garments. This one is perfect. The brim is only 3" wide though so if you are looking for something to keep the sun off, get a different hat. I just wanted something to keep the may flies off and to keep the sun from burning my scalp. This hat works great. It is cotton so it stays pretty cool and breathes too. It is also easy to wash and dry. Really glad I bought two. I got a pink and a tan and they are my favorite hats for gardening and mowing the grass
