Best of the best for sourdough bread! You soak the lid prior to baking which steams the bread perfectly. I might add that this fits in one of my RV ovens, but not the other, so check the measurements of your oven first. I have a smaller version of this pan for my little oven trailer, which I love too. There's nothing like a fresh loaf of sourdough when out camping. :-)

This is the best baker ive ever had. Use for bread,meatloaf, pork loin, ect. It is really versatile! Way worth the money!

My first one came completely cracked and not packaged well without a cook book. I exchanged for a new one. This one came with tons of bubble wrap!I’m not going to lie I was so nervous using this. Idk why.. maybe because I’m so used to preheating and also using an enamel Dutch oven pot for my breads. I soaked it for 30 min for first use like instructed, now I made the mistake of not using parchment or spraying because I was so focused on not screwing up, so I did get slight sticking on the bottom. I’ve seen two different ways of using this pot. One, put it in a cold even and let it heat up with the oven, and pull out then put food in. Or, place food in and cook altogether first placed in a cold even while preheating. I chose to let it go altogether which did take longer than normal. I’d probably say I normally cook for 40 min total and this added 20 min, 60 min total. I did take the lid off carefully the last 10 min of cook time. I’m not complaining though because this bread was baked to perfection and so yummy!! I’m extremely happy with this purchase. I also was very careful to not place on a cold surface to break the pot as it can’t handle extreme temperature changes. Lastly, my hubby is from Portugal, and I love that this comes from there!! It comes with a recipe book as well.

I opted for this clay cookware because it is reasonably priced compared to others that had a lid. I use it for baking loaves of bread and it works great. I do follow the instructions that say to pre heat it with the oven, you just have to be careful when removing it to add the dough for baking. I don’t soak it in water first, and one time I did add it cold to the oven. Didn’t break, but I do recommend you follow clay directions consistently as over time it may damage the ware.The first one came with a broken lid and my replacement arrived super fast. I had plenty of time to box and ship the broken one back for a seamless replacement process.

Love this item its great for baking bread. This is my second one. Keeps the bread a good size for sandwiches and cookies evenly.
