Wildlife World Squirrel Feeder & sqfd Nourish Squirrel Food with Added Calcium

I have had this a few days now and this feeder is sturdy and keeps the feed dry, there is however a slight,,,but. The squirrels didn't take long to discover the feeder and initially it was funny watching them discovering how to use it, which they struggled with (which was surprising when they have twarted my every attempt to keep them from the bird feeders lol). So I wedge a nut under the lid and "hey presto" they got the idea, but when they came back for seconds I couldn't believe my eyes as the squirrel turned into a thug and proceeded to peel large pieces of wood from the lid like it was chewing through butter. Thankfully it then decided that being a thug didn't suit it and started to use proper table manners by sitting down, lifting the lid up and spending about 15 minutes with its head stuck in the box (was starting to worry about it). The "but" part is how soft and easy the wood was and I did fear that by the speed in which the squirrel chewed through it that this feeder was not going to last that long. It should of really been designed with a metal lined roof like other ones on Amazon. So far it has held together but if it encounters another thuggish squirrel the useful life of this feeder might be quite short. In conclusion, sturdy and does what it was designed to do, keeps the food dry but it's Achilles heel is that the roof wasnt metal lined. I'll see how it goes but a metal one is on the horizon me thinks.

Brilliant. The first order did not arrive to me the purchaser. Amazon were brilliant and refunded.So the second one DID ARRIVE EXACTLY YESTERDAY. 10th. Pleased with it. Wonder how the squirrels are to self feed once its filled with seed.

Really nice well made box. However after one day out, the squirrels have chewed through the roof. Most of the squirrels understand how the feeder works but others have chewed through the wood to try and get to the nuts! Will need to by one with a metal roof.

Our reds love this wooden feeder, the wood seems just thick enough top bottom and all sides, which gives it its sturdy durability..Everyday we replenish with Hazelnuts, Almonds and Sunflower seeds.., it's noteworthy to mention the inside box cavity is always bone dry even on very wet windy days!The only real downside to these 'wooden box squirrel feeders' is that the table stand platform could do with being another inch longer, as they are made rather stuby and short for the squirrels to stand upon whilst feeding... another gripe would be wishing that the cavity of the inside box of feeder was much bigger for more nuts to be stored!!Aside from that, it's a great little 'wooden box squirrel feeder'. I've purchased three since June 2021, and they're all doing the job perfectly.. Personally, prefer the 'wooden box feeders' to the metal type variety ones.. The wooden feeders are more natural and look good compared to the cold, hard metal variety type feeders.. All in all, a brilliant little wooden box feeder for our dearly cherished, very precious woodland reds!!

Great feeder and very well made - can’t fault it

The media could not be loaded.  Quite a nice product. It comes as untreated wood. I did put wood stain on it to protect it. Having read the previous reviews, I also put silicone sealant around the front window. It’s now reasonably weather proof and keeps the contents dry.The problem is once the squirrels find it, they literally empty it out in no time. So, we tend to just put a few nuts in everyday.

Very sturdy and great value. Squirrel loves his nut's!!!!

Its a hit with the squirrels , they had the lid open within half an hour of putting this on the fence.
