Saves time and money! Love it!
Here's my review of the 5lb pelican Ice pack.-I like it a lot I bought 2 of them so one would always be frozen in the freezer ready to go.-Pictured above is the 5lb ice pack in my 20qt pelican cooler. Inside the 20qt with the 5lb ice pack is two bottles of wine, four 1 liter bottles of beer, 2 regular bottles of beer, with room on top for say six bottles of water.-The ice pack lasts 1 to 2 days maximum. But saves money over buying bags of ice.I love this ice pack.

Lovely product, but doesn't interface thoughtfully with other Pelican cooler products.
I can't speak to the cooling capability. My disappointment stems from the fact that I own a Pelican 20qt cooler and this doesn't really "fit" in any kind of elegant way. I was expecting (my fault for not checking first) that the cooler pack would have dimensions that were in some way integrated with (like... perhaps you could slide it in the notches in the interior of the cooler, or that it would be sized as some multiple of the dimensions of the cooler). Instead, you just kind of throw it in there. So, there's nothing *wrong* with this product. I was just expecting more thoughtfulness with respect to the design in the context of other Pelican products.

Stays cold, doesn't slide in slots
I'd like to start by saying I'm a huge Pelican fan. I think my Pelican 20 Elite is a great cooler! That said, I'm disappointed that my Pelican 20 Elite cooler has these slots that would seem to serve a purpose like maybe the Pelican Cooler Ice Packs slide into them. This is not the case. I read a couple of reviews where others said this same thing but I thought maybe they bought the wrong size. I bought the 5lb and the 2lb, niether of them have tabs or any other features that allow them to slide into the grooves. All you do is drop them into the cooler.I will say they do stay cold for longer than a bag of ice. A little pricy for just great cold retention. If you can get them at a discount I would recommend them.

Saving me sooo much ice!
I was a bit sick and tired of either making a ton of ice to put in my 45 qt. Pelican cooler, or buying bags of it at the store, so decided to try these out. They fit perfectly in my cooler -- I usually put one on each size of the compartment, and that keeps everything cold for a few days alone (as long as you don't open the cooler too much, of course).Have used them a few times thus far, and can find no issues with build quality, warping, etc.Sure, they cost a bit of money (especially if you buy two, as I did), but over the life of your cooler (which should be pretty long -- I've had mine for seven years already, and it's got a lot of life left in it).The only downside is that they do take up a bit of the available space to use, of course. Something I'm willing to put up with, given the ease of use and cost savings.

Buy Them
Having tried to find a good cooler pack for years I was advised by a family member to try Pelican. He was right----these are the best I ever owned so I bought another pack immediately. The 2# is perfect for smaller coolers; it freezes solid and keeps solid for long periods of time. The pack actually makes items colder rather than just, hopefully, maintaining the temperatures. The real test is keeping our cooler cold for 24 hour trips to FL and back. Based on what I have seen, on hot humid August days at home, the Pelicans will do the job.

Watch for broken seals
Bought two. One leaked on second use.A bit harder to organize in our 35qt cooler than we anticipated. Other than one broken seal, they keep the cooler cool pretty well

Easy to Use
Recently used the ice packs in my Pelican 45 Qt cooler on a 4 day camping trip and it kept items cold for the entire trip. It performed as expected even with the daytime temperatures in the low to mid 80’s and even one afternoon where the cooler was left in a closed vehicle for over 4 hours. The ice packs are easy to use and I recommend this product.

works great. fits the pelican cooler perfectly
good quality. I was wondering the difference between cheap freezer packs and these for the price. the difference is very noticeable these stay cold at least a day longer. I use 2 of these in my big pelican and a bag or two of ice as well and stuff stays cold all weekend.

Reste froid longtemps , bon achat
J’utilise ce produit quotidiennement dans mon cooler YETI Roadie, et reste froid toute la journée sans faute au gros soleil. Le soir, la glace est a peine dégelée à l’extérieur mais le centre encore très gelée.

The handles make the pack unnecessarily large--which is unfortunate when every square inch counts
A little overpriced given the cooling capacity of this pack. The handles make the pack unnecessarily large--which is unfortunate when every square inch counts.
