First of all, mine is a Boat install, not a Bike!! I chose this kit bc of Ltd space around my receiver, on the dash. Most boat kits are a whopping 9.5" W x 3.5" tall! On this kit, it'll fit the space I have. BUT, there's only about 3/8-1/2" depth for the face of your unit, tops! Most new receivers have a Lg protruding vol. knob and this kit won't come close to covering and sealing, unless the unit is somehow inset into the dash... I'm now looking at install/trim kits I can modify as a "curb" to mount this kit on top of and still make watertight. Wish me luck... may have to return! All that said, It it does seem to be of decent construction... I like the fact that it offers a clear view, vs all those that are "smoked" so dark, you can't see a thing! *** NOTE: I finally got around to installing my new system and decided i had to open pkg to separate the lid from the frame. Except, THERE IS NO FRAME!! Apparently, Harleys must have an inset on the dash that this cover fits into perfectly! So if you're thinking you're going to mount a frame on your surface for the cover to fit into, FORGET IT! THERE ISNT ONE! (unless I got gyped out of a frame! I doubt it!) Going back to look at pics, they are deceiving bc of shadows making it appear to have a frame!) So if you're not mounting on a Harley that's listed, don't waste your time/$$!! I'm 2 days past the return window, so l'm S.O.L!! BUYER BEWARE!!

I have had it on my bike for a couple weeks and have had no issues as of yet, I have not had it out in the rain but it did survive highway speeds for over 200 miles on my last run.

Dose what it says it dose. Check where the O ring is when you get it. Mine was in the wrong place. Worked grate after I moved it. Before I realized it was in the wrong place I was ready to send it back.

It's so loose fitting that i cant use it. I only bought it to use while washing my bike or rain storm while parked. I took some rubber bands to build up seal to make it work.Poor design
