Purchased this phone mount in late August 2022 because I upgraded my phone to a Pixel 6a and the new case had a built in kickstand/pop socket and did not fit my previous VICSEED Universal dash mount. VICSEED service from Alice had been exemplary in the past and very responsive to questions. I contacted her in advance of this purchase to make sure that this mount would accommodate this particular case. It does. She also advised that, instead of using this as a vent mount, I could use it with my existing VICSEED dash mount, which works fine. I give it a 5 star rating because it does exactly what it is advertised to do. However, I prefer my previous dash mount unit because of two features: (1) it has one hand spring loaded operation and (2) there is an extension on the side/bottom which provides additional stability for the phone. I surmise that both of those features had to be sacrificed to allow for the increased depth of this mount to make room for the kickstand/pop socket. I have not yet ruled out purchasing a new non-kickstand case for the phone so that I can return to my old dash mount. The jury is still out and I will continue to use this mount for the present. Either way, VICSEED service has been consistently excellent and they stand behind their products. I have communicated with Alice regarding the installation of both units. My original unit lost its suction capability after more than a year of use. Despite following their instructions I could not get a solid seal. I contacted Alice for suggestions and she said she would send a replacement suction pad. I was surprised to receive an entirely new unit.

I initially ordered the vent holder but it did not seem to work with my iPhone 12 pro max with case and pop socket. I just think my phone was too heavy for it to be in the vent. The holder itself did a good job of holding my phone. After I returned this, Customer Service reached out to me and I told them what the problem was and they sent me a windshield mount because I told them that’s what I was looking for. I am so pleased with the windshield mount it is very sturdy and exactly what I was looking for. My big ass phone fits securely and is not wobbly at all . I love this thing. I went with this mount because it is a low profile and has 3 points of contact making it seem much more secure. No magnetism or clips, just counterpressure. A little tricky to install into the vent as many car mounts designed that way are, but it works. Understand though the vent that you install it on is not going to be adjustable after that (might vary depending on the design of your vehicle). I did find that the tension is getting looser after a year or so, I have to retighten it often. I figure it warps a bit because of year-round temperature changes. It is designed for bigger phones for sure, and also to accommodate popsockets. Great value, if this one fails at some point I expect to get another.

I have tried so many cell phone mounts for my car over the past few years, and most of them either end up breaking or do not do a very good job of holding my large phone with a pop socket on the back. This is absolutely the best mount that I’ve used. I’ve had it for almost a year now, and it is still holding up. It fits my iPhone 12 Pro Max with a case and pop socket perfectly, and my phone does not budge the entire ride. You can still adjust the angle of the phone while driving without sacrificing grip. Definitely recommend!

The original vent insert did not work with my car (Mazda Cx5). I contacted customer support and they quickly sent me a different attachment. The new attachment works great. Very secure and stable. The phone or the holder has not budged at all-even driving on big potholes. I’ve moved the phone to face different directions and it holds its place securely. I highly recommend this holder. Works well with large cases and fits my magnetic ring holder attached to the case.

I have gone through many phone holders looking for "the one". I have found "the one" and life is good. I have vertical vents. Almost all vent holders are horizontal vents. With vertical vents, eventually all holders will lose the grip and/or wobble. Not this puppy. As soon as I saw the design, I had to have it. Now my phone is attached rock freakin' solid. No wiggle. No jiggle. No coming off when I grab the phone. If I had to critique anything, I would put the two little arms that support the bottom of the phone and a button that releases the grip. That would make it perfect. But it's still the best vent holder I've ever found. Excellent work, VICSEED. (excuse while I dry my tears of joy)

I needed to have something that would accommodate my pop socket, but I wasn't sure about hanging my phone *by* the pop socket in one of the official pop socket holders. I use the socket as a brace for balancing my (otherwise uncomfortably large) phone in my hand, not as a primary support. I've had and loved an air vent mount holder from Miracase for some years, but the pop socket was too thick and large to allow me to use that holder unless I turned my phone into landscape mode, and even then the arrangement was awkward and wonky. Design aspects of this holder that are not as convenient as the one I've been using: - the springloaded arms + foam padding make it difficult/impossible to set the phone into the holder one handed: if you need to pull your phone to answer a call, you won't be able to return your phone to this holder until you can stop and get both hands on the thing - the lack of a bottom brace/ledge makes it difficult/fiddly to position the phone properly - the mechanism to tighten the socket and position the phone/keep it from flopping about doesn't work very well and must be continually retightened
