Fantastic Value Smart Bulb
First of all I have several Tapo products around the house, but this was my first time buying their smart bulbs. I am very impressed with the build quality and ease of setup via the Tapo app, which for me seems more straight forward than the setup involved with other brands. The lights are bright on the highest setting and easily dimmable to a nice warm glow, perfect for those family evenings watching a film.I love the fact that I can see the energy usage of each bulb within the app over several different time periods. It’s great to know that these are energy efficient bulbs and aren’t wasting energy.Of course these are fully compatible with Alexa and once again the setup process is simple and intuitive, needing only to activate the Tapo skill once and Alexa takes care of the rest.I would definitely recommend the Tapo L510 bulbs, they are a quality product, affordable and easy to use and setup.

Impressed
Bought on advice of a freind due to the ability for these to be controlled by app and the 'away' mode which randomly turns them on and off while on holiday. Easy to set up via the app, dimmer function is effective, worked well from first use and easy to fit.

Work fine unless you have dimmer switches....
Very happy with these bulbs apart from one hiccup. I have two lights controlled from a single dimmer switch and the Tapo bulbs won't work in this configuration. TP-Link tech support are looking into it but for now I'd suggest sticking to on/off switches only.Other than that the work great and are very easy to set up (I don't have an Alexa so can't comment on the reported issues).Energy efficiency labelling on the pack is unclear.

Brilliant little device.
I bought them for my bedside lamps, hence it needed to be warm light and dimmable to create the right atmosphere suitable for night time. Very happy with them, easy to install and control from the app. They go quite bright so perfect for reading or creating an ambiance if you don't want to use the big light. I love the dimming ability and very cost efficient, as bigger brands charge double for the same thing. Very happy!

Should have bought sooner
So simple to install & easy to control via the app.Download the app, connect the bulbs & off you go.Easy to pair with more than one bulb via a group setting if you wanted to control say two lights either side of a chimney.Find them great for if I am out & gets dark to tap the phone, turn a light on & settle the dog down.Months in use & not one issue.

they are great until they aren't
I love managing the light in my rooms with Alexa and these bulbs. Unfortunately they have really big flaws you need to consider:- changing the wifi provider will mean resetting every single bulb in the house - I have plenty so it took me ages - and there is no simple way to do it! Soft reset often means that Alexa will not recognise the bulb again so you must completely remove the device from your list and set it up from scratch. This is extremely annoying.- all devices have a factory setting of turning on after there's been a powercut - you have to set each bulb to "turn off" after the powercut but...any problem with connection and if you are forced to do a soft or hard reset you must change this setting again. I forgot about it and after a powercut a few days ago I came back to the house with all of the bulbs wasting the energy in an empty house. The factory setting should be the opposite - to keep the devices off when the electricity comes back.- the customer support literally doesn't exist. I sent an email to customer support and received an answer which was impossible to read - it was a direct translation from Chinese which didn't make any sense at all. What a shame! Having said all the above - I consider tapo bulbs the only decent equivalent to Phillips Hue bulbs, which aren't much better and are ridiculously expensive.
