Sharpening Serrated Knives?
We cook and bake often, using our knives several times a day. We had an old Chef's electric grinding type wheel sharpener, but it never got the knives to the sharpness that we were looking for. My wife bought me a complete set of Lansky Diamond hones. I have a very nice serrated bread knife, but never had the tools to sharpen it. My Wife went the extra mile, and purchased the Lansky Medium and Fine hones for serrated knives. It takes a long time to sharpen a serrated knife, you have to sharpen each serration separately, and then take down the burr created on the back side. The Lansky Hone(s) did a fantastic job on the Bread Knife, and now it slices easily and effortlessly. A must have for serrated knives!

Works very well for me
I use this stone, in conjunction with the medium hone for serrated knives. The results are great. I've put the Lansky hones for serrated knives to work on some very different knives of very different quality and I am always pleased with the results. I've an emergency kit knife, (Cold Steel's "ER 1," which is no longer manufactured) with a stainless steel blade. This knife is an integral, important part of my car's first aid kit. I take care of that blade and I keep it very sharp using the Lansky medium and fine hones. If I need that knife; I'm really going to need it. However, I also employ these hones with success on inexpensive serrated knives that I use for slicing stuff on my little home bar. The results, even with cheap knives, are great.

Best method of sharpening serrated edges I have found
Anyone that needs to sharpen gut hooks or serrated knives may find this product helpful. The product of course holds the angle of the edge constant due to the Lansky system. You can touch up pretty much any irregular blade shape with this stone. It is a fine stone, so it may take a while to get a nice sharp edge from a dull edge. I have been successful at sharpening serrated knives. The instructions given where very helpful. It will take a little practice to determine what angle to use to get the optimal edge.

Serrated knife sharpener stone
You really can't go wrong with anything this company makes . I bought one of their kits back over 20 years ago, and it still works like it's brand new. There stuff is more expensive, and well worth it.

knife shaprening slystem
System works very well and knives are sharp when sharpening is complete. I does take some practice to develop a techinque. Well worth the price if you have the better quality of kitchen knives. Tjhe serrated sharpening stone rather difficul and time consuming to use.

This is a great product
They make the best hones! I made my own sharpening system after watching a youtube video. I glued a piece of PVC pipe on the back of the hone and use a 1/4 in extension and swivel as a slide guide. Works just like Wicked Edge, but cost 30 bucks. My knives are scary sharp!

A must for getting the right shave-sharp serrated blade for those who dare?!
This allows you to get down and dirty into the cracks and crevices associated with serrated blades. Works like a charm....have the medium and fine of these. It makes sharpening your serrated edge knives a cinch. and this allows that extra fine sharpness to be achieved on any serrated blade! What more can I say?

Does not work with all serrations
I'm sure this works for most serrations but it does not work for all. My angled serrations on my crkt M16 made it possible for The Jig to hit the right angle. Quality seems great and I love this Lansky kit that it goes to. Seller was fantastic and ship the item right away. I left a three star review only because it advertised to work with all serrations
