Good read.
Good informative read if interested in learning more about Voodoo. Not everything is covered , however it breaks down the Belize system and covers the history as we know it. Definitely worth it if voodoo piques your interest.

Somewhat typical
Somewhat a typical book on voodoo. Touches mostly on how voodoo is a way of life, while denying thst it is truly a religion, it still goes into detail about the same things the average book or internet source does on this topic. Not uninteresting but not profoundly informative.

An Alright Introduction
It was an alright introductory book that gave a good overview of voodoo. I appreciate the broadness and how it acknowledges many different aspects of voodoo. However, I wouldn't say that it would be for a person that is looking for a more in depth look at voodoo, because that is not this book.

Quick and excellent read!
Excellent and quick read if you're interested in world religions. The author is very clear and points out important aspects. I've learned a lot about the topic from this, it sorts out fact from fiction! The author also doesn't pressure you into any beliefs, but to use your own as you read, which I respect entirely. I would recommend this book to pretty much anyone since voodoo stereotypes are everywhere.

Waste of money
Nearly all the references in the back are wikipedia articles and the book reads like it. There is no solid information here at all. I can read wikipedia myself. If you are looking for a more well researched scholarly book written by someone with expertise, this is absolutely not it.

I would recommend
This was an informative book and an easy read. I learned quite a bit and was inspired to further research Santeria and other related religious traditions.

Book on some of the fundamentals of voodoo, with some history and demystification on the facts of voodoo practices .

Three Stars
Good for general info. Not very in depth though.

Amateurish
This is not a book, it is a badly edited pamphlet, with no substantial information. It's so-called 90 pages, could be printed in normal typeface, without the numerous repetitions, in 15 pages.

Vague and repetitive
I wanted to learn about voodoo, the beliefs, the spirits etc but this book hasn’t taught me anything. No real information on voodoo, it’s just very vague and repetitive.

Short
Could have enjoyed more if there was more detail and history as well as mythology on the subject. Nothing one doesn't already know really
