If you are struggling with supply then definitely take these vitamins. When your supply is well established then switch to a post-natal vitamin that doesn’t increase your supply. I wish they made post-natal vitamins without any herbs that won’t help with boosting lactation. My 5 month old daughter became very fussy until I realized it was the herbs in the vitamins. I stopped taking them over a month ago and my supply is right where it should be! GREAT vitamins, just be careful because they can cause hyperlactation syndrome.

I am so glad I found this post natal vitamin. I was taking a prenatal plus herbs to help increase supply as I’m a working/pumping mom to a beautiful 5 month young baby girl. We live on a small farm and there’s lots of work to do. Recently I’ve been super tired, and barely able to complete chores let alone keep up with the baby and my 6 year old. My other daily vit ran out so I figured I’d see what else was out there. I stumbled across this and another and it was a toss up. I’m so glad I went with this one. Today is day three and even on the first day I had afternoon energy. Something I haven’t seen in over a year. I loved that. But what really made me write this review is today is my first day back to work since starting this and I pumped 11 ounces in one session this morning. I was getting about 6 in the morning and that was always the biggest for the day. I am in shock. Extra energy + extra milk for the freezer makes one less thing to stress about. I’m hooked! Thank you for an amazing vitamin!!!

Update: So I used these for 2 months and decided to change for the Amazon Choice vitamins. They were 10usd cheaper, but my god, I swAllowed to swallow them and i felt it sitting in my stomach for hours. I returned them and switched back to these! You never know if multivitamins are working UNTIL you try a really bad one - you definitely know they are not for you! So this is the winner for me! Oh and also, during the week I was waiting for these to arrive, I didnt take any, and I felt more tired and lethargic. so it must hAve been doing something.My original review:It has always been hard to know whether vitamins are doing their job because it does not give immediate results. So I base my review based on taste, (especially after taste) and easy to swallow and also the ingredients on the label and what the ingredients intend to do.I have been taking this vitamin for 3 months and now 5 months post partum. Here is what i think.Breastmilk supply - no effect. I have low milk supply and had to supplement with formula. I went for this one especially because it helps breastfeeding mothers. However, i did not notice any change in my supply after taking this vitamin.Capsules - big but smooth so it is easy to swallow with some water. I like the bright orange colour, it feels healthy.Taste - no taste, not even when I burp (oops). So i think it is absorbed quite well in the aul’ body.Ingredient - all seems organic and healthy as stated on the label. The price reflects this too. Since I have no way of verifying this myself, i trust this and other moms’ reviews that are a bit more scientific than mine.Hair loss - it did not stop my hair from falling pp. i think half my hair is gone and i am not sure whether anything can prevent that from happening. Hehe.Overall, i feel that this is a good vitamin for pp breastfeeding moms and I would recommend it.

I switched to this postnatal vitamin from a different big brand and am so glad I did! Actif has food based ingredients instead of synthetic folic acid which can cause problems for some people. I also noticed when I started this vitamin my postpartum hair loss stopped and having now taken this vitamin for a few months my hair is growing back in! It also has wonderful lactation support for breast feeding moms. I am so pleased with this vitamin I have recommended it to all my pregnant and postpartum moms.

I love the fact that these are POST-NATAL vitamins, which you never find. It doesn't seem like one would need the same vitamins as growing a baby versus nursing a baby. The folate is food derived instead of synthesized folic acid which is what I was looking for. These pills seem large but go down very easy. I've never gagged or had an issue swallowing these vitamins, unlike 99% of the other ones on the market. These are tasteless, don't leave disgusting fish burps in your mouth hours later and don't cause an upset stomach. I highly recommend to anyone who has the bank account to purchase them. Seriously, why are these so expensive?
