I have had 3 other desk footrests and this is the best by far. It is very sturdy; others (plastic) have broken, and one that was a thick fiberboard also finally split. I like the fact that it rocks as that makes it more comfortable on feet/legs/ankles after several hours on the computer. I like that it is large enough for me to move my feet around on the surface. Some have mentioned it leaves black marks, but I have not noticed that. I do have a chair mat at my desk. Also I like the fact that I can easily slide it forward or back on the mat, and yet when in position it does not slide. I was pleasantly surprised that it was just tall enough for proper leg angle at my desk. Other wooden footrests were 1" too low. It could be a tad higher, but the inch more makes just enough difference that it is still comfortable enough. I would have given it 5 stars instead of 4 except for what you might see in the picture. The black is what I would call rough sandpaper. It will keep shoes from slipping, and it is not uncomfortable on my bare feet - it feels nice actually. HOWEVER it snags (other reviews have noted this) socks and leaves fuzzies on the black AND with my bare feet it tends to remove the rough skin leaving the whitish mark you see in photo. If there is a surface that is not slippery and does not snag or sand off rough skin Pacearth would be a win-win 5 star. If sock small fuzzies and light skin sanding does not bother you, this is great. I would buy this again, even with those two very small issues, as it is the sturdiest and most comfortable footrest I have yet found.AN UPDATE. I have been using this for several weeks now and find the the issue of the rough surface is very small. I like the feel on my bare feet. The fuzzies, and dry skin from bare feet comes and goes. Why or how I don't know. I just know it does not build up. I do love this footrest and give it 5 Stars after longer use!! BTW, daughter loves it and I bought one for her.

Very sturdy and has easy traction, so no sliding off. Mostly I use it for standing up and staying focused (the constant but low-key balancing is great for my ADHDers out there), but I’ll use it to rest my feet on when sitting, too, because I’m short. Since starting to use it a week or so ago, I’ve noticed a lot of improvement in my posture.Only small issue is that when sitting down, if I rock it too much, it slowly migrates away from me. I’m on carpet so didn’t think that would happen, but overall the benefits of this thing massively outweigh that one small annoyance. 9.5/10, would 100% recommend - and already have!

Great product for the price. I like the non-slip top and how it rocks back and forth. I love to be able to move a certain amount during my work day and this footrest lets me move my feet just enough. No assembly and so far it's quite sturdy.

I am in the field a lot for my work, but as I am short this is perfect for helping my legs not to dangle under my desk. There's many times I come in and someone different is using my desk to sit at and ported their laptop to work so they can use the "leg thingy" because it makes my desk that much more comfortable. The other day I came back and there were two of them saying, it's my turn now, you've been on it long enough"It is very comfortable and the rocking motion helps my legs not get stiff from hanging all day when I am sitting for long periods. Well worth the money.

I had a cloth one before that didn't rock. It was okay and was ruined in a years time. It was nothing like this one! Very comfortable for my feet. I like that it rocks as well, so it moves when I move in my chair. It is very well made and extremely comfortable. I was hesitant when I first purchased this, but I am so glad I did. It feels it will last a long time. Worth it!
