UPDATE 7-19-16:I have added two more stars to my review because enu contacted me after i sent them a message and have refunded my purchase price. they said the first batch of the new enu did not come out right and was too thick. i'm only adding two stars because they still sent me a defective product and i have yet to taste a correct one. it also sounds like the intense stevia flavor is here to stay so i still wont buy again from them because of that.ORIGINAL REVIEW:i bought vanilla enu in bulk for the past year directly from their website (originally bought on amazon) and was extremely happy with it and surprised it was not more popular. however, the new taste is horrible to the point i'm dreading finishing the boxes i just bought. the new formula now has the consistency of thick oil that can no longer flow freely from its own packaging. you have to squeeze the container and hold it upside down to get just some of the enu to come out. more importantly, the taste is horrible and i believe it's because of the stevia. it now tastes like a bottle of concentrated cheap chewing gum juice that leaves a horrible after taste.enu, you had a great thing going and i would have bought it for years to come and continued telling everyone about it but now it tastes horrible and i will no longer buy or recommend it. please go back to the original ingredients\formula that made you so popular in the first place.

4 Stars because who can really "Love" nutritional shakes? My partner is undergoing radiation treatment (neck/throat) and eating & drinking have become a BIG issue due to mouth sores & severe sore throat. This product is far superior, in terms of calories & protein content, to Boost & Ensure. And it has no corn syrup. It is not as sweet as those other 2 brands. At this point we need all the calories & nutrition in the smallest volume as possible or a feeding tube will be instituted.Also this Enu shake is thicker than the other 2 brands I mentioned, in case you were wondering. And most importantly, she is finding it less difficult to tolerate than the other drinks. Personally, I find it easier to drink than Boost which is the sweetest of all, and Ensure(2nd sweetest).And they use Non-GMO soy. It's crazy these drinks are so expensive for nothing special ingred.

I bought this for my mom who is going through chemo and radiation. So I like that it's high caloried and the ingredients are healthier compare to competiting brands that were introduced to us by the dietitian and nurses. I also like that it's low in sugar. The only and biggest draw back for me is the price. It's A LOT more expensive than Boost VHC (comparable calorie content) and Ensure. As a cancer patient with zero appetite, the only food mom is willing to take in are these nutritional shakes, which means she has to go through the equivalent caloric content of 4 of these to get the calories she needs per day. A pack of these would only last her 3 days, which is not sustainable for us price wise, despite better ingredients from the ENU brand. So unless the price comes down for ENU, I would probably go with competiting brands with better pricing.

Since being diagnosed with colon cancer 15 months ago, I've lost over 40 lbs. Having been a small framed woman, that was weight I couldn't afford to lose. Eating has been very difficult for me and I've tried every supplemental drink I could get my hands on. All would give me terrible abdominal pains and nausea that I could barely keep them down and they did nothing for my nutritional intake. Also, most nutritional shakes are extremely high in sodium. While this was a pretty costly attempt, I had to go for it. Being 5'6" and only weighing in at 109 lbs, my family has watched me slowly waste away. My muscle tone is gone and my energy is non-existent. That being said... I tried these shakes and I've finally found something I can tolerate! I had to start slow and only drink half at a time or else I would start to feel sick (my stomach is not used to having any food in it). Within just a few days, I can now drink two of these and my appetite has finally increased! While I still have incredible abdominal pain from regular food, this has significantly helped me to not lose any more weight. My energy level is also beginning to increase. For those of you suffering the effects of chemo or other cancer treatments, or abdominal issues (dumping syndrome, colitis, crohns, etc) or any other nutritional deficit, this is by far the best supplement I've come across. It is not very sweet. (I've only tried vanilla as I don't like chocolate). It's not gritty. It is unusually thick but that is not a complaint. I have shared a few of these shakes with friends that I know are suffering from nutritional issues and cancer and they have all started to buy these too. Even if you are just a busy person who needs a quality meal replacement, this is well worth your money. Even my picky children try to steal these from the fridge. Thank you to the makers of ENU for giving me a chance to finally eat again! I am spreading the word about this product and it's quality. This truly has been a life saver for me!!!

The consistency of this reminds me of that thick chalk paste you have to drink for a Barium test so I thinned it out abit with some water. I tasted it prior to adding the water and it doesn't taste like vanilla to me, I am actually not sure what it taste like. I am giving it three stars because it has 490 calories which I desperately need and while it doesn't taste good its not so offensive that I cant drink it. It also seems to be healthier to drink than brands I have been drinking so that is a plus.
