Critical for quail keepers. CRI. TI. CAL.
I lost my first review so this one is shorter T_TThe c-clamp is a nut welded to a loop of metal, but it does its job quite well, actually. The peeler itself is surprisingly sturdy and works excellently. The egg shells occasionally get wound around one of the rollers, but you just roll it backwards and it's fine. You could probably hurt yourself if you really tried to squish your finger in there while rolling, but you'd really have to want to. I've let kids from 14 to 2 use mine at birthday parties and it's really popular - I just boiled like 200 eggs each time and let them go at it! It's mesmerizing to watch the shells get sucked away lol.Set a bowl of water at the open end and put 4 or 5 eggs on top. Press gently on the eggs and roll until the cracks start to expand and then let go and keep rolling. they peel in seconds, and you swipe them off the end into the bowl. This part if officially called "'ploop'ing" them.Once plooped, the remaining shell fragments come off in that water, so transfer them to second bowl. When the water gets too messy in the first, take all eggs out and move your second bowl to the ploop stage and rinse/refill the first bowl as the finishing bath.I lay the shell strips out to dry and grind them as calcium for my chickens (my bird types eat each other's shells) and they dry quickly after the peeler.I got this after a couple years of eggs by hand and it is now, no joke, one of my top pieces of equipment. I honestly can't imagine it breaking more than once in my lifetime, so if it ever does, I'll buy another immediately. It's simple, tough, cheap, and SO USEFUL. Absolutely get it. If you have at even 10 egg layers it would be unconscionable to go without. Also, can't stress this enough, if your friend/family member has quail and thinks this would be silly and worthless, get it for them as a gift. You'll gain so much authority and respect as a purveyor of good ideas once they actually try it out.

Very easy to use and a time saver!
Once you get the hang of this it makes peeling quail eggs a breeze. Use gentle pressure at first and let it go once it grabs the shell!!

Keep the rollers damp for best results.
This works surprisingly well for peeling hard boiled quail eggs. MUCH faster than individually peeling. Can do multiple eggs at a time (3-5). Occasionally grabs the egg as well as the shell which can get messy but still faster than peeling 1 at a time by hand. Quite sturdy as well and came with extra set of silicone rollers. Seems like it would last a lifetime even if used on a regular basis. Manual crank handle. Easy to use and clean up afterwards.

Damaged product…
Product came in secure packaging, but seems to have been damaged/bent before even being packaged. I’m sure it will still work properly, but will need to figure out how to straighten the base before trying.

I don't get the hang of it
I wanted to try it but maybe I should have spent the extra 30 bucks to make it easier.

Awful to use
Doesn't save any time and is very annoying to try to use. Was very hopeful of it
