I never thought I’d be the guy with an airbrush on his desk, but here we are. I bought this kit mostly out of curiosity, and now I feel like a hobby shop superhero. The compressor kicks out a steady 40 PSI, which sounds uber-technical, but in practice, it means you'll get a nice smooth, even spray without sputters. That alone makes it feel way fancier than the budget kit I tried before. The saying, "You get what you pay for", has never been truer for me. The three nozzle sizes (0.2, 0.3, 0.5mm) give me options depending on whether I’m doing fine detail work or covering larger areas. I first tested it while building a model car. That went swimmingly, so I upped my game. Next, I got daring and tried using it with food coloring on a cupcake. Who am I right now, a freakin' Cake Boss? That was done with fantastic results. Finally, I sprayed a knife handle with a fairly complex design that I would have never thought to attempt before. It handled all three scenarios like a true champ. Apparently, this little dude doesn’t care what it’s painting. It just keeps on truckin' through anything you throw its way. It’s easy to clean thanks to the included kit, and it hasn’t clogged on me yet. That’s a big deal to me, because nothing kills my creativity faster than when I used to spend half an hour poking at a nozzle with a toothpick or tiny paperclip. The compressor does drone on with a low hum that isn’t exactly whisper-quiet. It’s not loud enough to be a dealbreaker, but you’ll know it’s on if you’re in a quiet room. This is the kind of tool that makes me want to invent new projects, just so I can use my new "toy"q. Models, crafts, cake, makeup—you name it. It’s versatile, it’s reliable, and it’s a lot of fun.

Great air brush kit with all the essentials needed to get started. I got a cheap paint set with this and was able to use it without any problems. It was easy to refill with more paint once I ran out and was also easy to clean after. The spray was even and coated everything I was trying to paint without any problems. For an affordable price, I was able to paint multiple objects with this and did not have any problems. I was also able to change from one color to another without having to do too much clean up and just sprayed the old paint until the new color came out and I was ready to go. This is a great purchase for anyone who is looking to get into painting high quality things at a cheap price without sacrificing quality

To properly give this product the review it deserves, I must review two parts separately. First, let's talk about the airbrush itself. Having never even held an airbrush until now, this was very intuitive. Right out of the box, it comes ready for your basic painting needs: .3mm needle and nozzle attached, cup ready. It's very easy to see how the parts go together. It's very easy to hold. Feels like holding a pen, only you need to pull the trigger to write with it. The dual action trigger is also very nice. Does not feel flimsy or weak at all. As far as painting with this goes, when it works, it works great. The paint comes out nicely, and it covers cleanly. It even seems to dry pretty quick (although, to be fair, that's likely going to depend on what paint you use in your work, for example, I'm using acrylic paint, which dries quickly). It does a great job, especially when being used on photo etched parts to not lose any detail while still covering the piece with paint. Like I said, though, that's WHEN IT WORKS. And that brings me to the LOW point of this review: the compressor. It doesn't seem like it kicks out enough PSI to properly get the paint through the unit. I tried going with a bigger needle (which, FYI, I overtightened and actually broke the screw part of the nozzle, which I was able to get out but...just be careful not to overtighten this when changing them out), I tried thinning my paint almost to the point of it being a wash, I took the whole airbrush apart and cleaned it top to bottom, I made sure my connections were tight...no matter what, even on its highest setting, the compressor just wasn't pushing enough PSI to get the paint out of the airbrush. I don't know if the compressor was defective or if it's something else, but I bought a separate compressor and hooked the airbrush to THAT and it works just fine now. However, there WERE instances where the airbrush worked flawlessly with this compressor, and, when it did, it was amazing. So, for a beginner, the price really isn't that bad. And I'm actually kind of glad for all the problems I had. It gave me a chance to really explore my airbrush, familiarize myself with the parts and how they all work together, and learn some techniques to troubleshoot. And compared to other airbrushes, it's priced pretty decently. But just be aware: you may wind up having to spend more money to get yourself a better compressor to take full advantage of this. Then again, maybe the compressor I got was defective. Your results may differ.
