This sea moss is absolutely perfect. It is exactly as my mom used to make for us children back home in Jamaica over 50 years ago. I bought the 8 ounce pack and made a big handful...whoa! Let me tell you do not prepare a lot at once. I let it soak for almost a whole 24 hours opposed to the 4 to 8 hours because I was sleeping. It swelled and plumped up NICELY and when I blended it up I got 64oz... yup, the blender was totally FULL of rich, thick and I do mean thick gel!!!!! I added nothing but water, only because I'd like to use it for multiple things like soups, stews, gravy AND SMOOTHIES. It is clean, odorless, not salty and no taste. I transferred it to 3 jars. Since I washed it three times with a bit of vinegar I used every bit of the alkaline water I soaked it in when I blended the gel. The thickness was out of this world! This is the way to go as opposed to buying the pre-made gel. The first smoothie I made with mango, banana, coconut milk and honey, YUM YUMMY YUM. This is what us Jamaicans called "Irish Moss" back in the day. I used some on my face as a mask as well. Enough said. BUY THIS SEA MOSS!!! I couldn't be more pleased.

I like this brand so far, it gels up very well. I thought I was making a small batch with just four. You see how plump they got after soaking in spring water and fresh lime for 24 hrs. 4-8 hrs is not enough for my liking. This yield me 5 and a half 8oz mason jars, I made 2 plain gels and 3 fresh organic mango (just add fruit to your plain gel) you may need to a little water to get that smooth gel consistency. This morning I made myself a smoothie with the mango sea moss” 1 tablespoon sea moss 1 banana 1 cup almond milk 1/2 cup of organic fresh or frozen fruit. I used fresh strawberries But, I prefer frozen so I can drink it cold immediately, otherwise pop it in the fringe or freezer to chill. It’s a small process, Now I will give this brand at least 2 weeks plus to see or feel a difference.

I use this stuff as gel for skin masks and wash, hair masks and blend with mixed fruit for a tasty treat for me and kids! The 6 month supply doesn't last long in our house but still a great price for how much u can make! Only thing I would say is I soak mine for a full 12 hours then blend with warm fresh water for easy gel consistency
