This works just as well as the Teraganix brand of bokashi bran flake. My 2lb bag was a bit dryer and more compact than the bag I got from Tera, which actually helped me sprinkle it on my food scraps. Other reviews say it makes mold, they've clearly never used bokashi before.. all bokashi will make a white mold. It's literally how the bacteria breaks down the food scraps. Do not be worried if it makes white mold. It's not like you're going to eat any of this anyways.PRO TIP: I use the compost tea from my bokashi container for my garden and yard, but it's also great to put down your sink and shower drains. It really helps clean out the pipes in your house or apartment, keeps them from smelling, and helps breakdown any gunk in there. Also super helpful for the water table!

I bought the SDM Bokashi to use in my new dual chamber rotating composter in June 2022 after reading the positive reviews for this bokashi. I'm glad I did because it worked really well, turning my veggie kitchen scraps and dried leaves into nice compost to top dress my garden plants with.

I originally got this because I thought that I wanted to try Bokashi. However, after looking at all that is involved I was a little intimidated and decided to just use this as a compost accelerator.Most of my kitchen scraps go first to my chickens, worm bin, and compost bin in that particular order. That being said still a good amount kitchen scraps and any fallen fruit from the trees go into my compost bin along with chicken droppings and pine shavings. When I start my bins, I have had a hard time getting my compost to heat sufficiently so I thought this might help get it going. It didn't really give an exact amount how much to use so I just kind of winged it. I added a few cups worth to my new compost pile and watered the pile generously. Three days in I didn't really notice anything. After about a week when I went to go turn the pile, I noticed it was warmer but still not a hot pile. That being said, it is still got warmer faster than my compost piles that I've started in the past so I do think it is helping. Since this seems to be working but just not hot enough, I think next time I go to use this on my new pile, I'll use more than a few cups worth to get my compost off to a good start.Review for:SDMBokashi Premium Organic Bokashi Bran. This Bokashi bran is gross. It was moist not dry when I opened the bag, then it molded and got all caked up. Useless product.

Within a week the bokashi started to get mold inside the bag. Going to have to toss it in the compost pit and try someone else's bokashi.
