I bought the 1911 at an auction and did not have proper equipment for cleaning and in fact could not even disassemble it until I received this kit. After receiving the kit, I immediately was able to clean my 1911. It was in need of cleaning, so I felt better about it after everything was clean and lubricated properly. I really like the muzzle tool which allowed control of the spring during disassembly. The kit clearly will be useful for other calibers as well.

Once you use it a few times you learn the stuff the pamphlet teaches you but it's definitely a good way to learn about disassembly, reassembly, cleaning and lubrication. I like the case itself it's strong and easy to keep in a range bag and has everything you need to clean any caliber pistol. Also the 1911 tool it comes with is a cool little help!!

The kit itself is great. The wrench is terrible. It's shape makes it impossible to put the weapon back together because it doesn't push the spring rod out of the way of the bushing, and it blocks any attempt to use something else to push the rod down. If you intend to put your weapon back together after cleaning it, I recommend a traditional bushing wrench.

Very good toolkit Practice shooting and easy to carry There is also a guide manual for dismantling 1911 on site.

Took kit is a handy size and easily portable. The cards showing the full breakdown of a 1911 can be handy if you can't recall how to completely strip one down. Beyond that I mostly bought it for the barrel wrench tool as the full kit was only slightly more than the stand alone.

A good guide to disassembling a 1911 and putting it back together along with the tools needed to do it. Exactly as it says. I'm happy to use this.
