The Best!
Let's 'talk' about this foundation! I think it's really excellent! I don't wear a lot of makeup, but nearly everything that I do use comes from Jane Iredale. I'm 67 years old now. Previously, I used (and often recommended) another well known loose mineral foundation for many, many years. But, as time went on, I began to notice that it was not working well. It no longer looked good on my more mature skin. So, I did a lot of research (and read a lot of reviews). I discovered Jane Iredale products, and I'm never going back! I think this loose mineral foundation is quite incredible! I use the Warm Silk shade in the winter months and Amber during summer months. It's so natural looking (but better!) It's quite apparent that my sensitive combination skin loves this product, and I've gotten compliments on my skin since I switched. I always apply it after moisturizing, and then I do a light spritz of Jane Iredale nourishing hydration spray. After facing several health challenges, I've become very careful about what products I bring into my home and what products my family and I use. I am always looking for natural, healthy, safe ingredients. And this is definitely one of them. I hope my experience is helpful for someone else.

Best Makeup You Can Buy
The product I received is authentic. I've used this makeup for several years and I can't recommend it enough. You can customize the coverage you want by using more or less of it. Whether you apply 1 pass or 3-4 passes, you're skin always looks natural, flawless and glowing. Seriously, it's amazing! I alternate between the loose powder and the pressed powder, depending on the time of year. Each color comes in both options. The loose powder is supposedly better for oily skin, but my experience has been that both formulas work very fell for any skin type. The loose powder will always be slightly darker than that same color in the pressed powder. For example, my color is Radiant so in the summer when my face has more color I use the Radiant loose powder, and in the winter I use Radiant pressed powder. The Jane Iredale setting spray really is necessary to "activate" the makeup and get the flawless finish. It will also make it so that your makeup lasts practically all day. Sometimes I'll spray my face again midday to freshen it up, but I never have to reapply or touch up my makeup. So yeah, this makeup rocks, and it's healthy for your skin on top of everything else

Quick, natural looking makeup for everyday
I learned of Jane Iredale loose mineral powder from my esthetician several years ago, and I've been using it ever since. (My sister uses the pressed mineral powder, which is the same product pressed into a compact.) I start with sunscreen and under eye brightener, then do a quick dusting of the mineral powder base over my face with a large, soft makeup brush. It couldn't be quicker to apply foundation! This mineral powder base contains SPF as well, so I feel I have good sun protection. Amazing Base is "buildable", so if you want more coverage, just apply another dusting of the powder. I find the coverage very natural looking, and it evens out my coloring. As the powder is warmed by your skin, it becomes creamier looking. It wears beautifully, staying fresh looking all day - even in summer, when liquid foundation can "melt". A nice features for the jar is the sifter cover underneath the cap: it has many perforations, and you decide how many of them you want to poke open with the point of a scissor, enabling you to customize how much of the powder is dispensed with each shake of the jar. You shake shake a portion of powder into the jar's lid, swirl your makeup brush into the powder to distribute it evenly over the brush's surface, then tap off the excess powder right back into the lid before stroking the powder over your face. I find that a jar of Jane Iredale Amazing Base lasts quite a long time, so I feel it is a good value. Because it's a powder, it's also easy to see when the product is running out - something I found difficult to determine when I used liquid foundation, because the foundation would "dye" the sides of the bottle. Having worn makeup for more than forty years, I truly think this is a great product for any age and any skin type.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this product.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this product. This is my go to brand for powder and I could not be more pleased. You really don't need to re apply it too often. I can go the whole day without re applying it but I usually do at least once a day. It lasts forever. I use it every day yet one container can last me a year. Its so good to your skin and doesn't cause any irritation. Its great coverage and a really high quality natural product. It doesn't have talc in it which irritates and dries out my skin like bare minerals. This price was amazing too. I thought it was too good to be true as it usually sells for double. I had the color matched at a store first before I bought it on line. Seriously amazing. I haven't used another powder since I started using this. You can use it alone for light coverage or I usually put a tinted moisturizer underneath.

Awesome brush applicator!
I purchased 2 of these, one in line with my own "match", but slightly lighter and another much darker (on the way) in a neutral shade that I can use for adjusting a lighter powder. Both were on sale and hard to pass up. Jane Iredale has been one of my favorite "go to" mineral foundations. I tend to get my best match blending cools and neutrals in this line. Personally, I prefer Jane Iredale loose mineral foundations over their pressed or liquid...when I want a liquid base, I make my own liquid or tint concoctions with the loose and my favorite moisturizer...I find it much cleaner. I have no problem mixing to get my match. So, when I noticed these brush applicators, I had to have! I absolutely love how the brush "head" is magnetic!!!! This makes it so easy to clean the brush frequently and efficiently. Having 2 of these makes it even easier...I can just switch the brush heads, and then clean the dirty...no problem, no inconvenience. The foundation "pots" are awesome and work perfectly to fill the brush. I am not putting these "as is" in the applicator brush. I dump the contents in a clean clear container and label the color. I put my own personal blend to match my skin tone into the "pot" and with only how much I will use up within a few days. The brush applicator, I give 5 stars. This is the best of many I have tried. My only issue with Jane Iredale is they tend to put dimethicone in everything, and I wish they'd switch to ultramarines over chromium oxide greens. Sometimes, I will mix Jane Iredale foundation with another brand like Aromaleigh Pashmina or Gossamer formulas or with Mineral Essence to lower the levels of lesser loved ingredients. I still love how Jane Iredale foundation feels, regardless. I just stay away from Jane Iredale color cosmetics (lip, cheek, eye shadows), because of lake dyes and other ingredients I don't agree with. I do use the powder foundation (2nd favorite) and I like the eyelash conditioner, eyeliner and some of their mascaras. So, 3 stars for the foundation for above reasons. I do highly recommend this brush applicator, even if not a Jane Iredale fan...just snatch one up when its on sale (like $17-30).

Easy to apply and last all day
I love how this product looks and feels. It lasts all day and looks as good at the end as when I first put it on. It is lightweight but gives great coverage. I have it on auto ship so I never run out.

Finally a powder foundation light enough for my skin!
I just turned 41, and have finally conceded that liquid foundation no longer works for my mature skin. So, powder it is. Only issue is, all powder base is too dark, and too orange. Even the lightest Bare Minerals shade makes me look like an oompa loompa. I heard about this product on a review site, and decided to take a chance. And I LOVE IT. Case in point: This photo is unfiltered and unretouched. Yeah I know they all say that, but seriously take a look, zoom in if you want, you can clearly see my skin texture and fine lines. None of it has been artificially blurred, it's 100% the makeup doing this. This stuff makes my skin look like it did when I was 20. It melts into my skin, it looks great, the only drawback is you won't get FULL-full coverage like you can with a good concealer, but that's true of all powder foundations, not just this one. If you have mature skin, this is the one for you. If you have oily skin and want to switch to powder, this is for you. And if you're practically albino with cool undertones like I am, this is for you.

Natural Coverage With Protection
I have used Amazing Base on and off for years. It is easy to use and improves the appearance of my aging skin. I carefully follow the application instructions that came with the product because the manufacturer has studied and tested the product. I have not needed to modify the instructions to suit me. The SPF 20 is significant. After washing my face, I apply a peptide moisturizer, micronized zinc oxide sunscreen cream SPF 28 and finish with Amazing Base Loose Mineral Powder. I allow each layer of product to dry before applying the next layer. I do not use Iredale's D20 Hydration Spray because the powder stays put on my face. I live in the southeast, so the climate is usually not dry. I do not know I am wearing makeup even though I get light coverage of some of the light brown spots on my face. I do not usually sleep without washing my face but this powder does not clog my pores. So an occasional night without the usual facial routine is not as risky as with a liquid foundation. This powder goes a long way and is worth the expense.
