I brought another one , like this one but the metal got rusted. This one is totally covered on the top part and bottom part of the lock so no water can get in. Very happy with this lock. I use it to keep a trailer locked in back so it’s out in all kinds of weather. I might even get another one for my shed .

Waterproof. ….. no rust yet!

I originally gave these locks a 5 star review, but after using them for 4 months, I've realized the sturdiness is the only good thing about them. Although they have a waterproof coating, any exposed metal will quickly rust, so they must be kept in the locked position all the time. Also if you buy two locks, they aren't keyed the same, but they're supposed to be.We recently added another gate which we keep locked all the time. The other one I just hang the padlock on the gate to prevent it from being opened from the other side. A white crust has formed inside the lock on that one, so it won't lock and the key won't go in. The exposed metal has rusted. I had a previous all metal lock hanging on that gate for two years before my husband misplaced it. Even though it was a cheaper lock, it had no rust, so the performance of these locks is disappointing. Also the rubber piece that covers where the key goes in doesn't fully protect the lock from residue and discoloration. Part of the reason for that is likely because the rubber piece falls out frequently.Perhaps used indoors only these locks might be okay, but I purchased them for outdoors because in the listing it says indoor/outdoor. I should have given more consideration to the bad reviews rather than the good ones. Now I'm forced to purchase new locks. I regret this purchase.

Ok, I ordered these but am returning them. I still give them 4 stars because they are good quality. I would keep them if I had a use for them somewhere else. I got them to lock a case, but the rubber around the hasp prevented it from fitting. It was also too short, even though the description says it was longer than the ones I already had.On another note, whoever packed them put all 4 keys on the same lock, bad idea.

Very appealing but thin , light locks. They are nice for a locker but not an outside shed.

Key doesn’t fit lock not happy

These are terrible. Less than a month in the outdoors and these are oxidizing and one will not even lock properly. Total waste of money.Update: the customer service is excellent. The seller reached out and refunded my purchase and apologized for the defective locks.

I'm not sure if they're weather proof, however, they're definitely weather resistant. The locks are holding up great here in South Carolina where we get year round rain and humidity. It doesn't take long here for steel to oxidize and rust but the covering on these locks is definitely slowing that down in spades. I've only been using them a few months at the time of this post but hope to get at least a year or two and more out them. Quality product for a cheap price and I would definitely recommend to anyone who uses locks on their fence.
