Not matte black at all sort of a metallic grey color that doesn’t match anything. Plastic spacer pieces are highly visible when grate is placed in drain. The gap all around where the water spills in is huge and ugly. Just over all a cheap product I wouldn’t recommend anyone getting. I do bathroom remodels for a living and take pride in the work I do and wouldn’t allow this for my customers.

Just under 2 years the color is chipping and flaking off. Garbage! Do not purchase! It's tiled in and the only way to replace it is to rip up the floor.

Worked out great! Our tile guy felt it would have been better if it had an outer rim to help with sealing the edge from water. Tile guy had to make sure the perimeter was grouted really well in order to make sure water wouldn’t escape beret he edge of the drain and the grout / tile.

It looks really nice in my show pan. Work very well.
