This is decent for the price, but noticably not sturdy. I don't know if I got a bad one or if this is how they all are, but yhe two sides are misaligned, which results in splitting the apple when you core it. If you are very careful to make sure that the two side stay aligned while you core it, it does work.

Best feature is after you "core" the apple, you just squeeze the trigger and the sides open up and apple core falls out!! Easy to use, very sturdy.... one of those tools you'll wish you always had!

This corer is great!! I eat A LOT of apples, but with larger varieties like Honeycrisp, regular apple slicers or corers are difficult to manage. Also, apple pieces get stuck between the blades, and often don’t go all the way through the apple without a struggle. SOOO easy to core them with this, and press the lever to dump the core straight into the trash. Then I can quickly slice the cored apple into slices in the size I want. Super quick, tidy, and this thing is SOLID! Will love it even more when apple pie season arrives! HIGHLY recommend!

Disfigured end. I first thought this is by design until after I bought another brand and decided to look at the pictures of the first one. Not the same but decided not to take risk and bought a more expensive unit.

This is a handy little tool if you and your family like apples. It easily cuts the core and you can dispose of it without ever touching it using the lever on the handle. It's easy to make "apple donuts" by cutting the cored apple into slices, frost with peanut butter, carmel dip, or whatever you like, add sprinkles or nuts, and serve. Easy, fun treats!
