Much improved quality, worth the price
I am surprised to read some of these reviews, because the item I received is not at all like what they describe. it's not even what is shown in the photo above, it is much better. Apparently they took the criticism to heart and made improvements (though why they didn't change the photo as well, I can't imagine). Mine is of browner leather, dark brown now that I oiled it. It is pebbled leather texture outside, fuzzy suede inside. There are no loose ends to the stitching, although it's not excellent fine stitching it's strong enough and not sloppy. There is a reinforcing rivet at each end of the stitch to keep things together, which also makes the piece look more quality than it would otherwise. The belt hole is still simply two slots cut into the leather, which works okay, but not as well as a constructed loop would, and I worry about the strength in the long run. I haven't used it all that much yet, and so far no problems, but I do worry that over time the cuts might start to tear longer, since it will be a highly stressed place whenever you sit down or otherwise flex the sheath about on your belt. There are small holes punched at the end of each slit, which I assume is a strengthening feature to spread the tensile forces out and to mitigate the tendency for the leather to tear the cuts longer. They seem to work so far. I would recommend this item, especially since it's the ONLY sheath I've found advertised as being for the Svord Peasant so far. No doubt others could be found, but it's harder to be sure they will fit. My biggest problem with it is the pebbled texture, which always makes the leather look fake to me, and I would prefer it too be less shiny. I like my leather to look authentic and well-used. the cure is, of course, to use it, and that will solve itself.

It Fits the Knife, But That's All
Yes, this leather sheath fits/holds the Svord Peasant knife. It's a nice black color sheath, stitched from a single piece of floppy, soft leather approx 0.1" thick. As others have noted, the belt loop is a result of 2 slits stamped/cut into the back surface of the sheath, to allow a belt to fit through the sheath.Stitching is tight, but there are a couple loose threads at the bottom of the sheath - sloppy...very sloppy. It holds the knife better than just stuffing it in your pocket, but not much better than that.I guess it's worth the eight dollar selling price.

Functional and a Good Fit
This sheath is made of soft suede, which means the knife is a little hard to insert. Once in, the fit is perfect. The extended blade tang protrudes out the top of the sheath, facilitating withdrawal. Stitching is reinforced at the top and bottom of the seam. So, while I may prefer sturdier sheaths, like the ones from Buck and Condor, I still find the Svord sheath acceptable in a minimalist kind of way.

Super simple
It’s even more basic than the knife. I could have bought a piece of leather and made one. Save your money it’s thin and I don’t think it’s going to last. Make your own it’s way more fun.

Perfect Fit
It fit my knife perfect, that's all I needed from it!

Sent wrong color and the quality is junk.
1) I ordered a black one but was sent a brown one2) the stitching is horrible. It’s loose and it’s actually runs off the edge of the leather for about a quarter of an inch.3) I wouldn’t give five bucks for this thing4) I can’t return it because I don’t have a printer to print out the return label so I guess I’m out the money I paid for it.5) Don’t waste your money like I did
