Padding is very good
I looked at several padded shorts on here and there was one complaint for these DMoose shorts: the padding was flimsy or not dense enough or simply inadequate.I've owned and tried probably more pads than your typical pad wearer, and I'm glad I took a chance on these shorts, the padding is very good. It's a squishy, closed-cell foam, about 3/4" thick, that has high conformability. I've had shorts with denser foam, before, and those felt like cardboard, stiff and uncomfortable. More protection? Possibly, but the only reason I can think reviewers here are complaining about the pads in these being inadequate is that those reviewers might have bony hips with pointy edges that are poking right between joints between the pads. Otherwise, when you fall on your butt or hips you won't be contacting one single pad, you'll be contacting several, and the pads in these shorts ARE adequate. For me.I'm 195 lbs, 5'11", and the Large fit me perfectly. One reviewer said he removed the tailbone pad for more comfort, and I was tempted to do that, but after putting these on I felt no need, they were comfortable enough. I got these last night and had the opportunity to test them in the skatepark, this morning. I fell straight backwards on my butt and slid a couple feet coming down off a wall. Pads felt great, zero pain incurred. Again, I had been tempted to remove the tailbone pad as I almost never fall directly on my butt, and I was super glad I left it in.Another complaint people have with padded shorts is the placement of the pads. In the first pic of me wearing the shorts I am pointing to my ASIS. In the next two pics I am pointing at my left and right trochanters. Please look up your anatomy if you're not familiar with these bony points. Yes, these shorts don't cover my ASIS. Unless you are doing straight supermans on the ground the ASIS almost never needs to be protected. My problem area is my trochanters, and while the pads on these are not fully covering that area the general protection from the combination of the pads in the area is adequate. I didn't "test" that area, but I'm perfectly happy with the pad placement.I will give an update if these are not durable. Already my left butt cheek shows abrasion, that could've been from my fall backwards, even though I was wearing sweatshorts over these.

Ignore the ignorant reviews about the holes. Those people do not know how to read before buying.
Product came as described. if people would read the description fully, they would understand that the holes inside are purposely there so you can remove the foam padding to be able to wash the shorts itself. The product even tells you that this is the case.Ignore those reviews. they have zero clue about anything they buy, they just look and click without reading and then inputting unfair reviews. Now, about the product. The shorts fit perfectly . I'm a slim 6ft guy at 160lbs. i ordered a size large and it fit me. however, i do have to pull it up a little higher than i would like to cover my tailbone but it doesn't become uncomfortable . I originally got this for snowboarding but i can see that this can also be used for any other sport. Even football. the flexibility is not hindered by the pads and the pads have great thickness to them . Either way for the price this is worth buying to protect yourself .

Decent Product
After 20+ years of skateboarding and now into blading I finally decided to get some padding to protect my right hip. Fits well under loose sweatpants but I can't see myself wearing it with anything else. I took out the "butt" pad since i'm not worried about hitting my tailbone and that made them 100x more comfortable. Totally recommend the butt pad if you're novice and scared of falling. I'm thinking of getting a pair for my sister in Colorado who just started snowboarding.

Does what it’s supposed to.
Got them for skating. And they work well for that. They are really light. I have a 32” waist and got the mediums. They fit well. About the same as boxer briefs of the same size. I personally do not think they are that comfortable with my bike but I did not buy them for that so I did not mark them down. If these had been thirty maybe I would have gone down to four stars. But they are the cheapest on the site and work just as they should. Five Stars

Much needed for skateboard beginners
I have been trying to learn skateboard and falling so many times. As an adult, it can be dangerous and thats why this short is providing a lot of cushion during the falls. The fitting for the size is optimal and no discomfort. Value for money.

Excellent product, I recommend it 100%
It's funny that they ask me for a photo for the review, I don't think you would like to see a 50-year-old fat man in padded underpants. I bought them and they are excellent product, I started to run inliskates again after almost 30 years and the reality is that I have a contract with the pavement and these padded underpants are perfect to avoid injuries I recommend them one hundred percent.

The foam is soft and not providing much protection
I bought it for skateboard. The sponge/foam is relative thick almost 1inch, but is too soft and doesn’t seem to have enough protection. The tailbone piece should have a harder insert based on my experience.

Great Padded Shorts
Excellent fit and comfortable. The best part is that the padding can be removed especially if you do not like to have side padding.
