Barbell is listed as 28mm, but when I opened it up I found mine was actually 30mm. Makes a huge difference when buying the barbell to practice your olympic movements.

Great bar but they need to clean oil off bar!!!

This bar looks pretty much like new ones at your gym. I say new ones because at the gym you usually have well worn bars to use, many of which are no longer shiny at all.I'm not sure why the low rating of 400 pounds, but that's still plenty for the vast majority of lifters. At my strongest I could have done a squat at that weight, but I don't recall going heavier.The listing also specifies home use only, and not commercial. Other bars in this price range or lower list heavier capacities and the ability to be used in a commercial setting. Throw in the fact that this bar arrived with far more light grease or clear oil than it ever needed to prevent rust (And thus needed some heavy duty wiping before use.), and it's got to lose one star.It's still a nice looking bar that also feels just like it should.

Okay...when I say this barbell is long, I mean it is L-O-N-G! If you're new to Olympic barbells, this may throw you off a bit. Also, it's heavy - 40lbs by itself. Before I started Olympic barbells, I scoffed at the idea of using the bar by itself but they are really a substantial weight on their own. This bar is great, and if you don't have a lot of weight plates (especially since the pandemic started and things are harder to find or more expensive), the fact that this is so heavy will cut down on the need for so many plates...at least until you get super jacked and can lift a good bit. Very sturdy, very solid. 400lb weight maximum. Very decent price.

Now this is a sturdy bar! Nothing bad to say at all! I’m now a fan of synergies because everything I get from them is above and beyond what I expected and always delivered. This bar is crafted perfectly and hold my weights with no issue! I love these type bars for hip thrust and squats.

The way Synergee ships their barbells is really great. They ship the barbell in a very stiff walled cardboard tube, and the end caps are screwed in and padded to absorb any on-end jostling in shipping. They apply a copious amount of oil to the bar before wrapping it in plastic and placing it in the shipping tube so you can be sure your bar won't have any rust from traveling through humid environments. You will want to have a couple of rags ready to remove any excess oil. They include the name of the bar's assembler and the quality control person, hand written on a card - I think this is a nice touch showing that they stand by their craftsmanship all the way to the customer.The bar itself is pretty sweet. The knurling is medium-aggressive and feels comfortable in the hand. The sleeves rotate smoothly and quietly. I like the double-ring knurling since it gives me more reference points for grip width. This bar does not have knurling in the middle, so I personally wouldn't use it for heavy squats. Overall, the bar feels good in the hand, has a really nice whip to it under load and is a great value in my opinion.

Haven't tried it out yet, but they attached barbell lifting straps & wrist wraps to the package! I loved that! Very excited to use it. Packaging was solid and the bar looks perfect. No complaints here!
