Perfect for butterfly cake
I love it, did two layers with it and they came out perfect, I’m not a pro just a mommy who’s little girl asked for a cake shape like a butterfly, I followed previous reviews and greased the pan, use .99 cent boxed cake mix and it came out just perfect!!!

Kiddo and I are happy!
Excellent cake pan! It came with directions on making both the cake and frosting (though I used recipes I found before purchasing the pan). The instructions came in 4 different languages. I made sure to coat the bottom in both butter and flour and did not have any issues with the cake sticking. My daughter was beyond excited when she saw it! (My first time baking and decorating a cake like this. It was pretty easy!)

Really happy with purchase
Used a gluten free cake mix and used earth balance butter. Spayed the pan. Filled the pan to the halfway line. Almost the whole cake mix. Cooked 35 min and let it cool/sit for 20. It popped out really easily & beautifully.

Super cute!
The pan is so cute. Once the cake is baked, it's easy to see the indentations for decorating it. Make sure to grease and flour well for easy removal. I would suggest not using a box mix as it may be too light and may even break. I found the edges baked much faster than the center. Keep checking it often, as 2 extra minutes of baking can be all the difference between being done and being burnt. I wasn't sure how high to fill so my cake baked up a bit too high and I had to trim off the excess for a smooth, flat bottom. By far the easiest cake I've ever decorated!

Sweet little cake
I used this for my daughter's one year birthday. It turned out nice but a little smaller than I was thinking it would be. I did make one, filling it about half way, and then made another with about the same amount. This made sure that it cooked evenly in the center. The indentions were perfectly fine and I had no problem with seeing them as I was decorating, as some review stated. I would recommend this product for a birthday or any other party.

Caked up
This is your standard butterfly cake pan. It is light weight and has great detailing. I am satisfied with it for the most part, I only wish it was s bit larger. It seemed to be larger from the online view. Overall it's a good item to have

Super cute!
I used this to make my cousin's first birthday smash cake. I made my cake from scratch but uses enough batter for 2 8x8 round pans. I sprayed the pan, but apparently didn't let it cool long enough (directions said let cool 10 min then remove from pan) Part of it came out, part of it stayed in the pan. So, for those of you who do more baking with molds probably know when to flip them, but for those (like me) flip it, if it stays in, let it cool longer, don't force it like I did!

Easier to use than I thought.
I was a little intimidated by decorating this cake when I bought the pan, but it wasn't bad at all! If you can follow the lines and work a bag with a star tip, it's really simple. I also bought the kit from Wilton with the colors, bags, and tips, so I had everything I needed. I even used canned frosting to save time, and it turned out fine. If the frosting starts to get warm, the stars don't turn out as nice, I refrigerated mine a bit to get it back to a good consistency.

Good material
Good material. Thin, light but does not dent easily.Given the special shape you do not realise how big it is, so you will need to adjust the quantity of dough to cover properly the mould and have a good butterfly shape. The depth of the mould is different: the wings are deeper while the central part is lifted. If you don't put enough dough and cover well all the parts the "body" tends to burn a bit by the time the wings are properly cooked. I tried with different dough but always in the wings the dough grew much more that the rest, so to turn in upside down to decorate you need to cut part of the cake to even it.Considering the price overall a good product.

Super butterfly cake
Lovely cake tin, which made enough cake for 16 child-size portions. I used a cake recipe for one typical double-layer cake, and it worked perfectly. It is of utmost importance to sufficiently oil and flour the pan before pouring the batter in!

Saved my baking skills!
Worked really well. We used corn oil to rub on the inside liberally before using and the cake didn't stick at all. Used the raised outside shapes of the tin as a template to cut rolled fondant icing for the wings.

Fantastic
Bought to do a birthday cake...initial result was disappointing...probably due to not using enough mixture, and difficulties getting it out. Following a Mary Berry recommendation when using shaped tins, second time I lined with foil (the no greasing required variety), carefully ensuing getting all the detail on, and using a 12oz cake mix (12oz sr flour, sugar, marg, 6 eggs, 1 tsp baking powder) had no problems.
