Eruption - Humbucker Set - Nickel

Did a complete gut and rebuild on a DeArmond M-75. I wanted to try something different with the pickups, so I gave these a shot. I wasn't super impressed with the sound through a 6L6 tube amp. It was OK, but I wanted more. Then I plugged it into my Peavey Classic 30 with EL84 tubes, wow. These pickups sound amazing clean through that amp. I know, "who buys a pickup called Eruption to play clean through" but these things are really articulate in a clean setting. They dirty up pretty nicely through that amp, too. The bridge is very bright and the neck is pretty warm. Even thought he bridge is rated fairly hot, the pickups balance nicely. I got the best tones in the middle position, with both bridge and neck pickup engaged. Best pickups ever? No, but well worth the $80 I paid for them.

These pickups are great! Very similar to a SD Jeff Beck tone, but more responsive distortion and better highs. I actually replaced some stock Gibson pickups with these and I’m extremely happy with the results.

Good pickups. Cheap, but they sound great. Put them in a Duo-Sonic mod build. They're not gainy compared to other humbuckers that I've played. But frankly, that's my cup of tea.

These are outstanding pickups. They are clear, quiet, with incredible full sound. I installed these on a customers guitar and what an improvement! They are very versatile. I could play jazz to heavy metal. Excellent pickups.
