Delivery could be better, but great washer dryer
After double failure from new from another brand we decided to go for quality and we were not disappointed.Delivery was late at night and as our kitchen is downstairs the washing machine ended up in the living room. This appeared to be in the delivery agreement but was a problem for us. As we were unable to move it ourselves

Good quality machine

Edit 17 Dec 23, original review lower down.Dropping to 2 stars (instead of one), just in case this problem is a one-off, however, in my heart I believe Bosch knows there's a defect with their pumps/drainage from the way my service call with them went.I got a pump error not caused by a blockage. We have pets, the first time I got E06 there was an obstruction, a little ball of pet hair, which I removed. Since then it's happened twice with no blockage... the 2nd time, today, the pump was dysfunctional and I couldn't get it working again. So for the past day I've been draining, testing, looking for blockages, really a waste of a day, messy and depressing. I've never had any problem with the pump on any previous machine from Hoover, our washing loads didn't suddenly change after buying this machine.I bought the Bosch extended warranty on the day of purchase - regretting it. Despite the machine breaking after 8 months the earliest they could send an engineer was in 17 days, my wife blew up at me.So I called Amazon and they were brilliant, took away all of my anxiety. So good that I'll treat them as a preferred supplier of white goods. They organised a very quick replacement with no fuss. Thank you to Amazon...But as for Bosch, the best I can say is I'm extremely disappointed and let down. Their after care is non existent, no engineers, no apology, refused to help me with the cost of getting my own engineer, refused to even pay for parts under warranty, it was like talking to a brick wall. So this is my last Bosch appliance. You only know how good a brand is when something goes wrong. Bosch today is definitely not the Bosch of old. Here's what I used to think, sorry if it misled anyone:A good quality machine, robust and works well, everything you expect from Bosch. But unfortunately, like everywhere these days (AO, Currys, I've tried them) the installation service is not good. They leave you high and dry. When they left, the door was crooked and didn't open or close, and the machine rocked on its legs - it was unusable. To be more direct, if I'd used the machine in the condition it was left I'd have demolished my kitchen. The heavy lifting and connection to mains was okay, but an integrated appliance needs more than that. I fixed it myself: fitted the door straight so it opened and closed and levelled the machine. If you're not able to do any heavy lifting you'll end up having to get your own professionals - the last thing you should do is let these people back inside your house. Therefore - and this goes for any supplier except John Lewis, as of time of writing - I recommend delivery only, pay for a trusted 3rd party installation separately if you don't want your house damaged or days of hard work.
