Good Quality, Fast delivery and seem friendly
Mine are great. No chips, flat and flawless. I do wish the grit # on the side was a bit darker. Base seems sturdy and the stone is what I wanted. Price not to bad, need a better logo (kinda oldish lookin), boxing could use a new look and style as well but overall happy with it.

great so far...
The product arrived promptly, everything was in good order. No chips or cracks. All the items are of good quality.I’ve had just enough time to sharpen one knife. I started out with an inexpensive knife that was OK - just not as sharp as it could be. This is my first time using a whetstone and to be sure, there is a technique to learn. Never-the-less, I was able to make the knife sharper and I’m confident that things will get better-and-better as I my technique improves. At this price, it’s a great way to introduce yourself to this method of blade sharpening.

Works fine so far!
Received this product on time after ordering (not affected by any shortages or supply chain problems). Everything listed came in the package - whetstone, rubber anti-slip, wood base, knife angle guide, and sanding stone to even out the surface - in good shape. There is no instructions on how to use the angle guide! Does it slip onto the back of your knife? Do you rest your knife on top of it? Confusing if not familiar with this piece of equipment. I knocked off a star because this aspect of packaging was overlooked.I used it on an older, non-primary paring knife. Results are great so far, but once I get used to the technique I will start using it on my more expensive blades. For beginners, take your time and keep your blade steady. The knives and the stone aren't going anywhere, so there's no need to rush.

Great value and whetstone sharpener
I purchased this because I have a set of Farberware cooking knives set. The knives were very dull after a year of use and I researched what to do to get them sharp. I researched a lot on how to sharpen knives using a whetstone and wanted close to the least expensive for fear these wouldn't work because of all of the knock offs on Amazon.I didn't receive any emails about the instructions of how to use it so I went went on YouTube and watched a handful of videos. It took at least 5 minutes on each side but now I have really sharp knives. One could use more time on the blade but it went from not being to cut an uncooked beet to being to slice the root off it.I highly suggest watching videos so you get the right angle and hold of the item you need to sharpen.I am surprised and pleased with this whetstone

Good product short on instructions
Just sharpened a Jame Carter folding knife. Product worked well and I have a very sharp knife. The instructions were very elemental so I need to google some to feel comfortable using the wet stone. The product came with a small white stone but there was no mention in the instructions to what it was and how to use it so I am at a loss what to do with it - they could have brought mention/instructions for the extra piece.Overall happy with purchase

Very satisfied skeptic
After reading the reviews, I bought these whetstones with a bit of skepticism: negative reviews seemed to have been making valid points and I was not really convinced that all the positive reviews were real. I had the same feeling for all whetstone sellers on Amazon – they all seem to be selling pretty much the same product.I bought 400/1000 and 3000/8000 combinations and put them to test the day they arrived. Since our Global knifes have not seen a real stone since new, it took a while to get the right bevel and a uniform burr on 400, about 30 min, but the subsequent grits took just a few minutes and I managed to get mirror finish on the bevel and razor sharpness already with 3000 grit; 8000 was really not needed but I did it anyway. I sharpened two large chef knifes and a pairing knife; the stones held up well and remained flat – you do need to make sure you use the whole area. From this experience, it seems that people who complain about not being able to achieve the right finish should not blame the stones – different results may be just due to the quality of steel.

A functional and affordable water stone - BUT- it needs to be regularly flattened
So I got this product to set the bevel on a straight razor.I knew that I would have more success / a easier time with something that's more expensive, but I'm a student so what was I going to do? Long story short, it works just as advertised and the shipping time was very impressive, so I was happy with my order! My only word of caution is to make sure that you buy a flattening stone with these water stones. I don't know if more expensive ones would last longer, but I definitely noticed that after using this stone for about 30 min to 1 hour it needed to be flattened again, or it would mess with the angles on my razor.TLDR;fast shipping time, works as advertised and I'm happy with it (BUT it wears down quickly so get a flattening stone)

Sharpens knives
I used this stone to sharpen my very blunt kitchen knives. Takes a while to get the hang of it if you're a novice like me but well worth it.

My knives are sharp now...
This is a great starter product but it lacks any instructions... watched some sharpening videos on YouTube and was up to speed in a short time. Sharpening is an art and you have to develop a feel for doing it right over time. Still my knives have never been so sharp. Be prepared to sharpen a LOT of knives if you want to become an expert. No guide means 4 out of 5 but the whetstones are great. Just the tool for the job.

Good for the price, and customer service is top notch
After noticing that my two most well used kitchen knives were looking more like saw blades I decided it was time to ditch the crappy all-in-one vee sharpeners and get some actual whetstones. This being my first foray, I didn't want to break the bank, and the BearMoo stones seemed like a decent bet. After a little research online I settled on the 400/1000 stone and the 2000/6000 stone. Both arrived promptly and well packaged, included a little guide on use. After a few hours of work, my severely chipped and dulled blades were able to slice tomatoes and garlic paper thin once again. I'm sure I'll eventually replace these with a higher quality set, but for the price I'm honestly very happy with what I got. It's a budget product that does the job it's supposed to do, and that's worth a solid 4 stars in my book.Where BearMoo pick up the fifth is with their outstanding customer service. Shortly after the products arrived I received an email from the company asking if I was satisfied with my purchase. I replied that the surface of the 2000/6000 stone felt a little inconsistent, with a few noticeably rougher patches. Without any prompting on my part the company rep immediately told me that they'd be glad to offer a full refund or a replacement product. I accepted a replacement, and it arrived at my door two days later. I asked about returning the defective product and was told to keep it. With such high standards of customer care I would certainly have no hesitation buying from this provider again, and would gladly encourage anyone else to do so.
