MTX 12" 400 Watt RMS Dual Loaded 1200 Watt Car Subwoofer Enclosure Audio with Sub Box, Mono Block & 8-Gauge Amplifier Complete Wiring Installation Kit

Bought back in 2021. Still slamming today, price has increased since then but would buy again if they ever bite the dust. Not the most bass but also not too much bass either. Have held up very well.

My first impressions as any other persons was the price of the product I really looked into it on YouTube did my research and seen a couple videos and tutorials on peoples systems in their own car it was still hard to determine how good the quality was because they were recording it and it was uploaded in poor quality or the microphone just wasn’t working right.. So I purchased these at $273 for my 1995 Toyota Corolla honestly these were worth the buy. The set up was very easy to install. I seen comments about the speaker wires being cheap or thin but in my case they were that bad. Not the best but still good quality! When the product arrived the Speaker wires and the subs came is to separate boxes so be aware of that. The box for the wires is small but the subs of course are huge so sometimes you might have that delivery driver that might not have been paying attention that day and that’s maybe why you didn’t received the wires with the subs in the box. Overall these were a great deal! Everything was included like what more could you ask for at no more then 300$!! Great Job MTX!

So I got the Mtx with the tna 251 250watt ampI was super afraid because every review said it would burn up. Listen to me! The wires come with the amp but they shouldn't have sent them. Spend the extra 60 bucks on OFC 4 gauge wiring kit. Also. Important. Get it installed professionally. I bought thots package along with JVC speaker set coaxial. Also I got after market radio. The 250watt amp can be deceiving. The amp handled quite well. I kept worrying about blowing the speakers. But remember the speakers can hold 1200w. Great sound for the price. I wanted it louder not the subwoofer the interior speakers. But these subwoofers is a start. It's enough bass. But do upgrade your factory speakers if you want to hear the song your playing from down the street. They will hear the bass a lil ways down. But im female I want ppl to hear the song outside of the car even with the windows rolled up. Lol. Worth the money buy it. And I don't work for MTX im a real buyer.

These speakers are ok with the amp that came with them. Unfortunately I’m going to have to drop more money on a bigger amp and hopefully that will wake them up. From what I read online people seem to be happy after purchasing a bigger amp.

I can’t speak on installation .. I had someone else do it .. I can say my system is good! It works nicely .. it dose not sound like there is a “gorilla” in the trunk lol but that is what I wanted .. clean smoot hits that don’t drown out the music but turns heads and I got that! .. I used my own wiring kit .. the one they are sending I was advised not to use by another review on here . So I haven’t recieved it yet and don’t plan to use it when it arrives

I have been looking for subs for my girlfriends car and she didn't want anything to expensive. The Amp can defiantly throw enough power to these subs and its a little underrated as tradition for MTX audio. I have the gain all the way up at the moment and have been pushing them for about a day, the only reason the gain is at its max is because the stock head unit does not push out that much low end audio which is whatever. The subs defiantly sound great, they don't hit the chest hard because its a sealed box but the frequency response is great as tradition for a sealed box, I did put the actual units themselves into a ported box and they hit hard so if that's what your looking for is that hard chest punch, defiantly look at porting. All in all so far so good, they punch good for the money and I'm happy with them.P.S. maybe get new wire running to the speaker, the speaker wire seemed kind of flimsy so I went and got some 12guage which defiantly seems a lot better.

I was terrified to give these a try. The price for this scared me into thinking it wouldn't be great quality or that they would blow in a few days. It seemed too good to be true.. but let me tell you!! It was worth the risk, and I LOVE my subs. I had terrible stock audio with blown speakers in all 4 doors and I was in need of an upgrade immediately. I used everything they gave me (the 8 gauge wires, amp, and subs in the box) and I had it professionally installed along with a new aftermarket radio. I've had these a few months and I'm very pleased with the sound and performance from these subs. Best $300 I've ever spent. Everyone loves the sound and all my friends ask where I got them. No one can believe these are $300 subs from Amazon. All I can say is, just do it.. buy them, you won't be disappointed!
