Yes Sir. When you set rest time zero, it will be emom. Take 1 minute emom with 10 rounds as sample, you can program by remote as follows: Press any digit number 0-9(P0-P9) to save as a short cut key, like 1. Now the screen displays [P1 ]...,then press Edit button (screen shows [F1 MM:SS]) and input 01 00. Press Edit again(screen shows [C1 MM:SS]) and input 00 00. Then press OK(screen shows [C C - RR]) and input 10. Press OK to save the program and press start to run EMOM.

Q: If unplugged does it keep its programming?

no sir, it doesn't work without plug in. If you want to use it without plugging in your power, I will suggest you to purchase a portable power source, which should be 5 or 6VAC output and with around 8000mah. That could support the clock work for a few hours.
