ANIMED Glucosamine 5000 - Natural Joint Health Supplement with Omega 3, Antioxidant Protection, and Digestive Support for Horses, 5 lbs…

Tried this to see if it would help my horse. I thought that he wouldn't make it through the winter comfortable and not limping. Pain meds weren't working well anymore. I needed to help him with his painful joints. Within 3 weeks he stopped limping, and moved smoothly. I hadn't seen that in years. He's still happy. Kicking and bucking. I'll definitely keep him on this until he goes downhill again. Don't see that happening anytime soon.

I'm now on my second 5lb tub of this powdered gold and waited months to post this review to make sure it's worth it. I'm proud to say that it 100% is worth the cost. I use this on my nearly 6yr old, 155lb Great Dane and prior to this product had a hard time justifying the cost of the sheer quantity of joint supplements he needed to consume. I was recommended this product on one of my Dane forums and I am SO GRATEFUL that I was. Zeus was a little under 4yrs old when I first noticed him favoring one leg. His vet didn't find anything alarming, but did note a little tightness in one of his joints compared to the others. He recommended we start Zeus on a Glucosamine supplement and just keep an eye on it, it isn't unusual for dogs as big as these to develop arthritis early on with the weight on their joints and his history before coming into our home didn't help either. We were warned that if it got so bad that we couldn't mitigate the possible arthritis with supplements we would need to look into injections and surgery to help the pain. Nobody wants their dog under the knife any more than is absolutely necessary so we immediately started the search for a high caliber joint supplement. We tried at least 5 other brands of chewable and powder supplements but for a dog his size he would need like 6 chews a day or 2 full tablespoons of powder in his kibble at every meal. There were a couple close hitters we liked (the NuPro Silver formula is an honorable mention but became very difficult to source in the quantity we needed) and after a lot of searching we came upon this brand and formula. The powder itself has no strong offensive odor, is a nice fine grind, and mixes well with water into the kibble or anything else it's added to. The flax raises the fiber content in the powder too, which aids in bowel movements (a problem we didn't even think about this fixing). After the standard loading period of 2-3 weeks at a double dose we cut his intake back to a tablespoon a day and his limp lessened and then completely disappeared. He is acting like he's 3 again, has no issues with stamina and appears to have less next-day soreness if he overdoes it while playing with the rest of the dogs. As an added bonus his coat is smooth and visibly glossy, he appears more alert and focused during training, and his vet is impressed at how solid his joints are. We did an accidental experiment while waiting on the next tub to arrive when I miscalculated the ordering schedule and once he was off of the product his limp was back in a week. We are now a month into the second tub and will happily be ordering this for the rest of his life. Our 9yo 15lb little poodle mutt gets a sprinkle over his food at night as well and can keep up with the big dogs like he's never had an injury in his life. I highly recommend this product for multidog and senior dog households.

Excellent quality product. Use it on my seniors for years works well. They are 30 now.

I was so disappointed when I opened this box and the product went everywhere, the cover had come off and the brown paper that was wrapped around it was filled with this product, I was unable to save most of it……

Been using this product for several years now. Works well for my 24 yo Arab. Only downside to this product is it's not 100% pure like some others (easygait). All in all still happy with it and will continue to give this to my old man.

By far the most economical effective joint care for horses. I have between 5-7 horses at a time and are neglected/cruelty horses. Everyone regardless of age gets one scoop a day. Keeps the joints from crackling and no one throws a fit over the taste like other supplements I have tried in the past. Couldn’t recommend enough.
