EDIT: Machine 1: 2100 PSI and 1.4 GPM or Machine 2: 1200 PSI and 3 GPM? (GPM = gallons per minute) So which machine do you think works better with this jetter hose? If you said machine 1 because it has a higher PSI, you would be completely wrong. I actually used both of those machines and the performance wasn't even close. It's all about volume, not pressure... pushing as many gallons as possible. With the 1.4 GPM machine, I did a lot of manual pushing and at about 70 feet it stopped pulling itself completely, and I couldn't push it any farther... even after many hours of trying. However, once I hooked it up to the machine with 3 GPM, it did NOT matter that it was a much lower PSI, it effortlessly pulled itself through the entire 100 feet of pipe. In my original review I mentioned that I needed to twist the hose to get it past obstructions, however, with the increased volume, this twisting action was not required. The pulling was easily 3 to 4 times stronger with the higher GPM. When shopping for a pressure washer for this application, go for as many GALLONS per minute that you can afford... you won't be sorry. The extra water volume also helps flush debris along the length of your pipe. While you may believe that a higher PSI helps clean, it does absolutely nothing when it comes to pulling the hose through a longer length and flushing debris. If your debris is mud, then you also need the increased dilution in order to liquify and remove. You don't need extremely high pressure when the jets are only inches from your debris... you need volume for more pulling force, dilution, and flushing. Side note: If your hose is getting hung up on joints between pipes, you can try a bell reducer to make a wedge shape that will help the end of the hose get over minor obstructions. I made mine from a 3/8" to 1/4" bell reducer and I also rounded the leading edges. See photo. You'd think this chunk of iron on the end of the hose would slow things down... NOPE! I think it sucked itself through the pipe even faster since the nozzle is held up a little higher than the edges. EDIT 2: The outer jacket is durable enough to get pulled through clay or terra cotta tiles without a scratch, but yet it gets worn off by rubbing on the garden hose thanks to the washer's gas engine vibrations. See photo. Taking off a star, but I was able to repair using large heat-shrink tubing. ORIGINAL: "Title: Weird choice of fitting threads" - The hose comes with two styles of male quick change adapters that fit most pressure washers. The hose itself has ¼" NPT male thread on both ends making it very versatile and easy to adapt. It comes with 4 nozzles. Three of the nozzles are ¼" female NPT so they just screw on to the business-end of the hose. However, the most important nozzle, the one with the six jets that pull the hose through the pipe, is threaded with ¼" straight threads, not NPT and fitted to a quick change adapter. Very odd! What is the point of having the most important nozzle fitted with a quick change adapter? You need this nozzle on the end of the hose, not the end of the wand! Luckily, you can remove the adapter and with enough teflon tape, screw it onto the hose. Just make sure it's secure as a straight thread will not be tight like a tapered pipe thread. Secondly, keep the two cheap wrenches and reduce the price accordingly. Anyone that would already own a pressure washer is also going to have basic tools on hand! Finally, be careful when wrapping and unwrapping this hose. It is very prone to easily kinking. Once pressurized and in use, kinking is not an issue as the internal pressure prevents this. As far as the usage of this hose, with the proper nozzle affixed, it easily pulls itself through the pipe. If it gets hung up on a joint or edge, giving the hose a twist will free it and it continues pulling itself in. I managed to feed mine through 70 feet of 120-yr-old clay tile so I am very impressed with how this functions. Like I started this review, all four nozzles should have the same threads since you're attaching each to the end of the hose. Why they would make the one most important nozzle with straight threads instead of tapered pipe threads and ship it pre-assembled onto a quick-connect is boggling. You don't have a quick-connect at the end of the 100-foot hose and you would never want one there. If it gets hung up, it could release and pop itself off inside the pipe. You would also never install this nozzle at the end of the wand because it's useless there. The wand cannot travel through pipe, and a nozzle that sprays backwards would never be used on a wand.

One of my better purchases and much better than I expected. I bought it to (hopefully) unblock multiple French drains that were backing up, not knowing where they were blocked in the 85 foot run to exit. Using the appropriate head, worked my way through seven isolated blockages, a mixture of nuts, stones and mud, with the last blockage at approx 75 foot. This thing was awesome, even with a basic low pressure washer, given my petrol one wouldn't start! Yes it took a fair bit of spraying and back and forth trying to break up the blockage but it worked and absolute treat, even in an application I don't think is optimal (6 inch corrugated pipe). I had little issue with any line kinks but will provide a tip - if possible, keep the pipe in a cool place before use in an attempt to keep it at it's most rigid, sun will impact it's rigidness as it does with any plastic. Can't rate this highly enough!

This is NOT a professional grade piece of equipment... in fact, if you are attaching it to your pressure washer, you hopefully understand that. The "real" equipment is purpose built with a very powerful engine on it, and would cost thousands and thousands to buy or hundreds to rent. Having said that, this tool is almost magic for the price. It comes with no useful instructions. You will have to be at least clever to figure it out. It has some pieces you won't understand most likely. But if you have a minor clog in a pipe where there's no collapse damage that you need to fix one time, this kit will likely get the job done and save you a lot of money.

Awesome product

I've been working on unplugging my plumbing vent pipe for 3 days, never being able tp break up the blockage. My next step was the rent a commercial pipe snake, only to find out the one rental company that had such a thing went of of business recently. Started to price buying the snake, became frustrated with the prices. I hit the web looking for a plumbers snake and saw amazon's choices and Wala here I am. I used a tiny but effect Ryobi 1800 psi electric pressure washer. Hooked up the snake dropped it down the vent pipe turn the Ryobi and waited. As usual the piped filled and started overflowing onto the roof, but I waited, resting on the blockage I moved the snake up and down about a foot and 10 minutes in the pipe suddenly vented. This saved me hundreds either for an electric snake, or a plumber, all done with a tiny 1800psi Ryobi. I gave three stars on durability because when the hose kinks up it can create a permanent pinch in the hose, but hey it worked, my plumbing is working again, and I have without doubt saved hundreds.......buy it!

Dont expect much. This hose kinks and its not good quality. The hose is junk. The bits are nice but without a good hose its useless. I returned this because they hose kinks and its unusable. Dont waste your money on this hose.
