Jatamansi root also known as spikenard is mentioned in the Bible, the oil that Mary used to anoint Jesus’s feet. It is fragrant, earthy, grounding a famous perfume oil. This powder is a relative of valerian so is relaxing and anti inflammatory. I am using it to reduce blood pressure, blood sugar, ease anxiety and improve sleep. It tastes like tree bark or tree root, not tasty but grounding, earthy and satisfying. Add 1/4 tsp to a little water daily to stay calm and healthy.

I like it for it's calming abilities - but I can't find information on whether or not it's okay for internal use? Just because it's organic doesn't necessarily mean it's for internal (I find a lot of external only products that are organic). It doesn't say external only (I don't believe), and it does suggest how to make a tea, but a few of my other Indian herbs like shikakai are labeled organic and also external only (confused). So, I want to be sure with this one that it's safe to inject.
