Terrible Model. DO NOT buy
One word - LEMON. I did not buy from Amazon but I did buy from another source. It is a horrible model. It is supposed to teach robotics. Ha! Big DEAL. Till the bluetooth control it works but try programming and you will tear you hair in frustration. The tutorial is elementary and there is absolutely no help. You make the simplest of programmes, like:StartRun forward for 1mStopThe blasted thing just sits there like the idiot it it. No debugging tool. No suggestion where it is going wrong. No help online at Meccano.com. Horrible.Save your money and buy anything else but this LEMON.

No instructions and weird pictures
The robotic brain locked up after 10 minutes. Wouldn't connect to blue tooth or do anything. I did figured out how to reset it by trial and error. The IR sensor is probably working but... there are no instructions telling you what it actually does or even how to program with it. Still haven't figured it out. And even the programming App is confusing with literally no instructions and even using their drag and drop programming I can't get the IR to do anything. It is likely dead but not sure. They might have instructions in their very limited innovation set 10 but it's not available and no instructions online. The brain is called a Set 10. I only ever saw one real Innovation set 10 on a US site but after this I wouldn't lay out 900.00 US for it.So in this set you are left to figure it out. For a child forget it. Adults with computer skills required. Then comes the parts. They have shifted to plastic parts with very few metal ones. Most normal metal ones look like leftovers from the previous owner judging by the stamp on parts. Most new ones are narrower than the old ones. The rest of parts are thick bulky plastic stuff. Some of it is actually useful and I like their ideas. Some of them are not. Some of it is rubbish and will break easily. Don't expect the Meccano sets of years ago when the vast majority was metal. Now even the bendable spring steel parts have been replaced by very thin industrial plastic. I have all the innovation sets available. Not impressed. I have been building with it for 40 years. I have metal parts that come from the 1900s but these plastic things are very delicate and won't last months let alone years. I also had issues with some other sets with broken parts and two weeks later still awaiting a response from Spinmaster. I could go on and on... but I won't. The sets work, the parts work, but Spinmaster has made the entire system a poor substitute for the past stuff. Even the stuff made less than 5 years ago is better than this. The high price hasn't changed... just the quality. And the electronic stuff in particular is problematic.
